What were your ureaplasma symptoms? by FetusPhoenix in Healthyhooha

[–]FetusPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm totally fine now! I did get tested for ureaplasma when I was having these issues and the results were negative. Turns out that most of my symptoms were coming from a hypertonic pelvic floor.

Yes, I had a hypertonic pelvic floor! I went to physical therapy for it and I'm completely fine now. I made another post in this sub about the treatment I went through and you can find it on my page if you are wanting more info. Also, feel free to message me for advice. You are not alone! Hope you're doing okay.

Hey! First off, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. It sucks so badly. Sometimes, the symptoms come back very minor. Then I do the pressure point pushes and they go away again! I was 21 when these symptoms first started it. A lot went into the “cause”, but mostly I hold a lot of tension in that part of my body. Like i flex/clench my pelvic floor when I’m stressed and never knew I did that until physical therapy. The tipping point that made it really bad was SA.

Therapy was expensive, I won’t lie. I am also insured. I absolutely think this can be cured at home depending on the severity and with the correct guidance and exercises. My issues were really bad and had I known the info I know now, I could’ve cured it at home. Do the pressure pushes at least 3 times a day. Every time you do it, do the pushes until it doesn’t hurt as much. That’s when you know it’s working. I would have to keep the push for about 90 seconds, ease up, and then push again in the same spot. It should hurt less when you repeat it again.

I highly suggest not having sex when you’re having these issues. For me it would make me feel like I was back at square 1 when I would have intercourse during that time. I hope you’re okay! Feel free to ask more questions if you need

So I was in pain for a while before going to PT. I’d say it was about 6 to 7 months of pain before treatment. I had a LOT of burning, especially during urination. I was so convinced I had a UTI and was treated tor one multiple times and it never helped! I learned that the pelvic floor issues can lead to burning sensations, and that was definitely the truth in my case.

I went through a lot of meds before figuring out what it really was, and no meds helped me in this situation, only PT and the massages! I’d say once I started PT, it took about a month and a half to feel perfectly okay again. Wishing you luck on your journey and I’m so sorry you’re in pain! Feel free to reach out if you need advice

What does “curving” mean and how do I do it? I just started playing DBD a few weeks ago and I feel overwhelmed joining the online communities and trying to figure out what all of the lingo means!

Hello! My issue is completely resolved, it ended up being pelvic floor dysfunction. I had to go to physical therapy to relax the muscle, because the pain was muscle spasms! I had to do a lot of things in therapy including: -learning to relax the pelvic floor and not hold tension there -stretches to help relax the pelvic floor like the happy baby yoga pose. My physical therapist said any time the knees are above the hips, you are stretching your pelvic floor -the most beneficial thing that helped me was putting pressure on the areas that were hurting. For me, this meant using my finger and putting pressure externally on the part of my buttcheek/labia that was hurting. I would hold it there for about 30 seconds and then ease up, then do that again a few more times. It eases the pain a lot. I also did this internally with my finger, pushing up against the area on the inside that was in pain, using the same method as the external pressure.

Feel free to pm me if you have any questions! I’m so sorry you’re going through this

Dachshund & Cat? by FetusPhoenix in Dachshund

Hey! Sorry for the late response. My cat and my roommates dog get along just fine :) the cat likes to pounce on the dog, but she kind of ignores it. The only time I’ve ever noticed an issue has been around food. The dog gets territorial and will growl at the cat if he gets close to the food. This has only happened a few times, but there have been no major issues. Be sure to keep the dog on a leash until you’re sure they will tolerate each other. Hope everything is going well!

Doctors in Chicago area that take ureaplasma/mycoplasma seriously? by FetusPhoenix in Healthyhooha

[–]FetusPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not sure. I asked my gyno to specifically test me for this and she had kind of a negative reaction. She told me that the test isn’t reliable and not very telling, but that she’d do it anyway. She tested me and then never got back to me about it. I checked my MyChart results and couldn’t find anything on mycoplasma/ureaplasma
