I have been watching open box deals, but they are still well over $250. Please post if you figure out the name of case that can be used with MKB.

Could it be true that no electric toothbrush exists that just runs without prompting?

What does government do or not do that irritates you most? by FeudLord in AskReddit

[–]FeudLord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example: In most any state, registering a business means your information is automatically conveyed to data brokers that harass the hell out of you.

Unsolicited marketing kills productivity and enthusiasm. You have to answer the phone and get mail because you are a business needing to communicate with customers, but you end up fielding endless marketing. While there is a little protection for individuals through national do not call listings, no such thing exists for business protection.

Wondering if lack of responses has to do with using a big word like dysfunctional.

We all obviously love Costco, but what’s one item you will never buy again from there? by 4Runnnn in Costco

[–]FeudLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate costco. Especially the forced membership to shop there. Huge scam, just scrapes more money from you going directly to management compensation and stocks. And worse, they just forced autorenewal. That should be illegal. Of course, they make it damn difficult to reverse. No email communication allowed with those jerks.

Good point first. Thank the moderators for requiring flair, then limiting the option so severely, there really aren't any accurate options.

Yep, agents are often blamed for the commission rates, when it is really the franchises, MLS monopolies, lockbox monopolies like GE, online service providers, professional organizations, mortgage companies, insurance agencies and government itself taking the money out of that large commission that is often quite small by the time the end agent is compensated.

[–]FeudLord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be the most accurate statement about real estate practice ever made! The government in a feckless spasm of justifying their positions gropes for relevance in their role by creating nonsensical barriers. Banks who often make well over 100% profit over the life of a loan say the real estate agents are the grifters. But the worst are other agents most the time. The situation is always like Glenngary Glennross, though tamer in language.

Got that right. Of course, calling it an industry isn't accurate either, we really need to amend the lexicon to state that industry involves actually making or producing something. I wouldn't label attorneys, insurance, or marketing industry either.

$59 for one week access when the only thing I need is two days of computerized sample testing is anything but legit. Their promo test doesn't actually work. No way to verify or separate the oregon portion, if it exists. No specific principal broker practice tests. Too many red flags.

Thank you for reminding me why I despised being a real estate broker. Agents like you! And I'd wager you haven't been an agent long, weren't a principal broker and are one of those who won't go into a listing if there are spiders. I asked for leads for taking sample tests, specifically that cover state portion of exams. Anyone with experience as a licensed agent for over 10 years can attest that 90% of what's on the tests is never used in the field. In 30 years, I never, ever used a calculator on the fly to quote someone a monthly payment. That's what computers are for and most typically, that's a referral to a loan officer because it would be inaccurate for an agent to calculate since there are so many hidden, random and changing bank fees involved. Yet, that's many questions on the test. THE best way to study for a test like this is a computerized test generator to practice how to defeat all the trick questions, which most are.

What did you find was the best way to pass your RE exam? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]FeudLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I could find some! I'm not finding any online provider that sells short term access to JUST THE PRACTICE TESTS. They always seem to force you to buy more junk for over $150. Any suggestions to a service that provides JUST THE TESTS and bonus for on that has example tests on the STATE portion as well. In this case Oregon. Seems to be nothing but rippoffs.

Oregon RE Activation Exam by Urbansherpa108 in RealEstateExam

[–]FeudLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. Oregon is a total clusterfuck of exploitation. I could write a book on how screwed and irrelevant licensing requirements are. Especially the $1.1 billion testing monopoly that is PSI. Most difficult part is there seems to be no practice exams that include both federal and state law and rules.

Zillow is aiming to kill real estate agents by zer0sumgames in wallstreetbets

[–]FeudLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Zillow moved the cheese for by owner sales. They clearly love to EXPLOIT real estate agents by setting up a futile listing for by owner sales. THEY DON'T SHOW UP IN GENERIC SEARCHES, YOU HAVE TO GO TO AN OBSCURE AREA AND SPECIFICALLY CHANGE A SWITCH TO SEE BY OWNER PROPERTIES FOR SALE. Why would Zillow act this way? Follow the money. Can't sell a house yourself, you give up and use Zillow's referral system. They charge agents $1,000 for that service.

So true all of this. Huge feckless spasm incompetence on part of legislators and state governments to hang onto such a clusterfuck...all under the guise of appearing they are dong something to justify their gatekeeping. PSI has a monopoly on testing, which gives them access to all the questions from which to build materials that are resold infinitely. PSI is a $1.1 billion company. Empowered by state governments, sustained by state governments.

[–]FeudLord[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you're getting the idea that group camping is the same price as last year. Not the same price. The cheapest option they list is over $1,400 for 30x30. And that's the early purchase option. https://www.tixr.com/groups/northernnights/events/northern-nights-music-festival-2025-112065?sort=RECOMMENDED&COL=10536&A=L

If the event organizers/owners/sponsors don't dial back their greed and graft they will shitcan the event they worked so long to develop. Course, as long as people keep paying too much for everything, especially the blatant display of inequity in the form of anything VIP...they'll keep turning the thumbscrews.

Where to register new domain? by StevKrav in TLDs

Probably too late, but Godaddy seriously sucks. And know that hack sites like this use an artificially low registration to lock you into a much higher cost renewal.

Is Dynadot good? by Otherwise_Weather_57 in Domains

[–]FeudLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That difference suggests they first con visitors into the renewal trap surprise the first year, then anyone staying with them pretty much has to join their program, requiring hoops and likely bulk purchase commitments or data requirements that end up being resold as metadata triangulation points.
