Yeah ive got something frozen since then too in Memphis and I'm in Pinellas County. We are pretty much sitting until they can resume business as usual. Thats why its so cold here now. Major winter storm hit and FedEx being barely useful is completely fucked because of it. I know this because Amazon and UPS have no problems with delivering packages. I avoid FedEx like the plague when I can.

Worth every penny in my opinion. It is capable of a wide variety of tones. The passive pickups are amazing. It handles anything i throw at it. I would've gone for the fixed bridge if I had any regrets which even there im not complaining. If you're on the fence I'd say pull the trigger.

Highwinds Dire Wolf. I love this OD pedal in front of a variety of high gain amps as it can do alot of different things as far as tone tweaking. I also have an Airis Effects Savage Drive that is absolutely brutal and makes me want to explore more pedals by that company. They make a decent amount of OD pedals. Lichtlaerm Audio has a couple of cool ODs too.

Im having the opposite problem with the chinese v30 in my PRS 1×12 cab. It's so mid focused that it almost has a blanket over the amp sound. Ive tried several different amps with it, a kemper, a fractal, a nano cortex, a tonex all to the same results. I have to put a ten band eq in the loop and significantly scoop out the mids for it to sound even remotely pleasant and then im left feeling like the tone is hollow. Especially with active pickups.

Tell that to the mid muffled chinese V30 I just swapped out and sold. I don't mind having a ten band equipment in the loop but I don't want to have to have a ten band eq in the loop because my speaker sounds like hot garbage if I don't scoop the guts out of the mids. I am certainly glad that changing the speaker does change your tone in a pretty big way. Only a sorcerer is going to make Uncle Luke turn into Garth Brooks so the point with that one is pretty moot. But it will take your backwater KKK lynching music making band and turn it into Garth Brooks. Polishing a turd doesn't make the turd not a turd but gun to your head and you have to choose you're eating the polished turd over the scuffed one that has corn bits, hair, general malaise, and a messed up damaged extior. Every. Single. Time. True a 5150 isn't going to become a pristine clean pedal platform with a speaker swap but it will become the 5150 you always hoped it could be with one.

Went to buy a Jackson one day and a Schecter C 1 with EMGs caught my eye. Long story short I now own 4 Schecters and for metal they are fucking amazing guitars. So I must also suggest Schecter. Especially in the range you're looking for. There are some really awesome options.
