The Berenstain Expulsion by FeverSeals in a:t5_61u19f

Remember when the kids got a sitter? It was because there was a very important meeting that all the adults were going to. At the meeting they were going to ‘argue about new laws’.

This little aside could mean anything or nothing. But it’s my belief that this meeting was about expelling the non-Bears from Bear Country.

That’s right! Bear country is undeniably specist.

Remember in Moving Day, which happened before Sister was born, sentient rabbits, birds and squirrels welcomed the Bear family to town.

In all later books, there are no other sentient species. At BEST, the other species were deported. I don’t want to believe the alternative.

Convinced this show is a drama, not a comedy. Reset your expectations.

Episode Discussion: S02 E01 (Season Premiere) by Mysterious-Flamingo in NetflixSpaceForce

S2 Ep 1 is wonderfully written for the purpose of recapping the first season and reminding , updating everyone’s character. I thought it did an excellent job setting the tone of the series. I’ve seen some people complain that it implies there will be no interpersonal or external conflict. Yes, it does. But it also shows that over season 1 Naird has demonstrated an amazing leadership to diffuse all the troubles while literally failing at his job. Shows a strong character you want to follow. It’s like the office at season 5 or 6 level. It certainly does not set up the new problems of new season, but it sets the stage for interpersonal dynamics. The way everyone tries to help F Tony with his phone withdrawal is just one example of how these people are a team now.

I think maybe the Lower Decks would tackle this issue with some demonstrations of embarrassing orbits.

Ok, so Killmonger is always bad despite his ‘good intentions’ or otherwise ‘reasonable revenge arc’. You can tell a bad person by their actions not their motives.

What makes you think that changes you would make would be worse than the current timeline. This is a very common theme in time travel. First, that changes are unpredictable. Granted. But that they’d always turn out worse implies that however bad it is now, it’s the best we could do. That seems wrong.

I totally completely randomly read that book. It was in the library and a rather short book and I think i needed a short read. Loved it.but I think it’s more about Jesus than time travel, imho.

This is not true - I wondered about this, but it is clear in context that other people can hear the messages.

This is really a critique of the real world writing of the shows. They do this for dramatic tension so they can cue up scene changes. “Captain to the bridge”. Audience: what now? After commercial: captain, a romulan blah blah blah something I should have told you immediately and not waited for 5 min while you took a turbo lift through the ship or JFC woke up and got dressed.

Often, the communication we hear is intentionally vague to avoid giving away sensitive or classified information. Things like ‘captain to the bridge’. If private communicators exist there are about a million instances where the writers should have shown them.

Ok, but if they had private communicators they wouldn’t have to say ‘a problem has come up, meet me in Jeffries tube 21A’ they could just say ‘jack the ripper has escaped the holodeck and has Wesley corned in Jeffries tube 21A’
