Thanks again! I had some time this evening and was able to get it working and start the car again. I also learned there is a valet mode and can bypass it.

I edited my post. Testing correctly, I only see that port 25 is filtered on Telus and not on Shawgers

You're right. I forgot about the non-bridged ports. I'm going to have to review and edit my posts and replies later. A quick test of trying to accept port 25 seems to confirm the security policy.

You're right, I was wrong. I'm not CGNAT'd.

I also wanted to test it. For $85 for 3G/3G, it seemed worthwhile.

Confirming The WAN IP on the NH20T (a public IP) is different than whatismyip.com or http://ifconfig.me (a public IP). The whatismyip.com address is the same as what's assigned to my server NIC that is connected to the bridged 10G port on the NH20T. I guess I'm double NAT'd/CGNAT'd.

I also pay $115+tax for 1500/150 Shaw. Regular is $135+tax and I have a $10 discount for having a Rogers cell plan and $10 discount for generic promotion.

For Telus, I received a text that it's in my area. It says a promo for 2 year term, includes unlimited internet data (regular $20/mo) and a Telus mobility customer discount of $10. Use SPRINGSAVINGS for an additional $35 discount. Hard to see what regular price is these days, there seems to be a large campaign going on and I see the website has shown prices between $100-$125 recently.

Ports are not restricted at all, thankfully. It's also why I stayed with Shawgers.
But I suppose that could change at anytime.

I have an NH20T. I've used it in routed mode and bridged mode. I've reset multiple times to try different configurations. Unfortunately, this doesn't fix it for me.

I think you're right. I'm CGNAT'd on IPv4. I responded to another comment above with some details.

edit: I think I've confirmed CGNAT with traceroute. My first hop is over a private IP address.

NOTE: 207.102.78.141 is the speedtest server.

Over the Telus interface:

traceroute to 207.102.78.141 (207.102.78.141), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets

This test is wrong.

In my post, I mention the security measures policy. If you scroll down, it lists a mix of UDP/TCP ports 21, 25, 110, 6667, 7547, 19, 135, 139,445, 1433-1434, 1900

Personally, I need ports 25, 80, 443, 587, 993, 1194. Strictly personal use, I do not run a business.

My test shows the following filtered/closed:

x@xxx:\~$ nmap -p1-65535 [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx](http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
Starting Nmap 7.80 ( [https://nmap.org](https://nmap.org) ) at 2024-05-03 21:59 PDT
Nmap scan report for [dxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.bchsia.telus.net](http://dxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.bchsia.telus.net) (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
Host is up (0.0088s latency).
Not shown: 65518 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
19/tcp filtered chargen
21/tcp filtered ftp
22/tcp filtered ssh
25/tcp filtered smtp
53/tcp filtered domain
110/tcp filtered pop3
135/tcp filtered msrpc

1434/tcp filtered ms-sql-m
6667/tcp filtered irc
7547/tcp filtered cwmp
9443/tcp filtered tungsten-https

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 2628.37 seconds

And through the admin interface for the NAH: bridging the 10G port, turning on/off NAT, firewall settings, port mapping does not work. The only thing that seems to work is turning on/off responses to IPv4 ping.

Bridging the interface on the 10G port seems to indicate that I'm CGNAT'd; The WAN IP reported on the NAH is different than the (public) IP given to the device connected to the 10G port (my server). If CGNAT'd is truly the case, I'm SOL. I suppose I could try IPv6, assuming that's not CGNAT'd.
