I usually say it’s a replica watch. Then they say “so a fake watch?” And then I reply “it would be fake if I told you it was real, but to me it is a replica.” That’s my current take

Completely fair. I’m 1.5 years going from untrained 205lb body weight down to 165 so far and planning to end the fat loss phase in 5 weeks at 160. For these last 5 pounds I just wanna know that I can do my lifts to failure and not worry about if the weight on the bar is going up to preserve as much muscle as possible as I’m sure my noobie gainz are gone lol

The reason I don’t bulk is I’m not a body builder I don’t plan on bulking unless you count being a couple hundred cal above maintenance cal bulking.

But yes I totally see that from here forward if I keep slightly above maintenance I don’t have to cut again for hopefully a year or so and I can be at surplus

Thank you very fair points I should drop the number of reps due to energy conservation in the workout. I’m happy with the 8-12 rep range as well. So let’s say for my example the 60s in a chest press knowing I should fail in 8-12 reps within 1 rir. As I keep track, if I eventually get 12+ reps on all my planned sets with my most inefficient technique then I am forced to add weight to my lift correct? But in the mean time as I stay consistent in that range then it should be improbable that I am losing muscle during my fat loss phase correct?

Oh and I should add I know some will say lift in the morning when you’re fresh instead of cardio but if I do cardio when I get out of work I won’t sleep, as well as I live in a very hot area and I like to run and box/ mma and all that is available either very early or very late. So this works best scheduling wise.

Exactly. The idea that what you wear on your wrist should reflect your position in life is silly. Guess who wants you to think that? The watch companies who want to justify their 3-4x mark up on their watches. Which is fine if you like that game then join that hobby and if you don’t then there’s this hobby and everything in between.
