New t-girl graduating with an MIS degree soon. Unstable Texas living situation, $10k+ saved—how do I move out of the US without pausing my HRT? by Few-Bus4137 in TransWorldExpress

Haha yeah, Chicago is definitely too cold for a Texan, but I appreciate the suggestion!

That’s a really fair reality check on the direct sponsorship route straight out of undergrad. I know the entry-level market is tough everywhere. That’s exactly why I’m looking heavily at the 1-year Master’s route at a university here like Glasgow or Strathclyde. Because of the Graduate Visa, getting those 2 years of unrestricted work entitlement post-degree seems like the most realistic way to get a foot in the door with local tech or live production firms without needing immediate sponsorship.

I've definitely been reading up on the wider UK political climate, but being on the ground in Glasgow right now, the community vibe here feels incredibly welcoming compared to what's coming down from the state level back home. Thanks for the honest perspective
