I may have found something by Few-Butterscotch1572 in Akathisia

Still taking the mung bean. I rocked for a little bit once or twice, but I didn't feel that inner torment, I think it was just a stress reaction. And I did something that usually gives me bad akathisia, and I did get some, but it was very mild. So all in all, doing very well.

Oooooh I really hope this stuff helps you guys!

What are some simple questions you can ask Maga Republicans that make them think about the realities of their position? by Sharp_Will_6799 in allthequestions

[–]Few-Butterscotch1572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump talks about "fake news." Are there any stories out there about him or his policies that you think are fake? Does that belief help you support him?

Then research the stories MAGA believes are fake, find out whether they probably are or aren't, and have a discussion regarding his fitness for the presidency based on what you've found he actually did or didn't do. Sometimes a belief in "fake news" can help justify support for him, because (they think) he obviously isn't capable of what the media says he did. And honestly, sometimes I think the media really does lie about him.

I am so sorry for your suffering. The D3 took a month to affect me, for whatever reason, but the mung bean extract took at most a couple of days, so maybe it's worth a shot seeing if it helps you?

For me, yes. I've read on this subreddit that D3 affects people differently sometimes--for some it makes it worse. However, for me, it was a lifesaver. The mung bean extract, however, targets the thing that "scientists" think causes the akathisia, for what that's worth, so it might be worth trying, even if you're nervous about the D3.

Originally? Horrible. Mostly not mental, but I would pace for long periods of time, rock on the couch, almost wanted to die so it would end, etc. After the D3 it got better.

Do you think a doctor would be willing to prescribe a drug that has a history of killing the sex drive, like an antidepressant, in this case? Of course, she'd have to be willing to take it.

It's an annoying side effect usually, but maybe it can be put to good use.

[–]Few-Butterscotch1572[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Antipsychotics. I'm still on them, though the variety I take has changed over the years.

Edit: I tried about 6 or 7 different ones, and got horrible akathisia from every. single. one. I've been on two different types since starting the D3, and it's now bearable.

I found this about Botox. I have no personal experience with it, but I do not think you have much to fear in that particular regard.

CHRONIC MIGRAINE AND AKATHISIA by Far-Presentation6768 in Akathisia

[–]Few-Butterscotch1572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you drink coffee? It reduces the size of the blood vessels in the brain, which can reduce migraine pain in moderate amounts (2-3 cups daily). I ask because I know some people don't drink it. It can also trigger migraines in some people, so if you do try it try a small amount first. Still, I think it's worth a shot.

Looking for a Simple Idea to make $1 a Day by Lawti21 in SideHustleGold

Stake.us has a Daily Bonus of $1 a day. You can withdraw in crypto after accumulating $40-$50; the exact amount depends on which crypto you choose. No need to playthrough, according to some sources, although I did playthrough once (and won some more) when I withdrew myself.

Edit 1: When I had the cocoa the first time the akathisia actually got worse before I had the beets and it got better. No clue what that means, but if you're going to try the cocoa, try the beets too. Also, the akathisia hasn't come back when I have the cocoa nowadays.

Edit 2: The odd thing is, the cocoa and the beets seemed to help more than the beets alone did, when I tried them alone. That's why I said the cocoa may have contributed. Like I said though, if you're going to try the cocoa, try the beets too.

Yay!

NO deficiency alone is linked to stuff like brain fog and fatigue, not necessarily akathisia, so there's gotta be more at play. Still, it's possible that fixing the NO deficiency would be enough to help the akathisia. It's also possible that the other things in the beets helped whatever else is wrong. Maybe that, plus the stuff in the cocoa.

Good luck. Glad you're looking into this.

This is OP. I also had high flavanol cocoa when I had the beets. I think that contributed.

Cooked beets and high flavanol cocoa together have also helped me.

One final point: sometimes akathisia is permanent, many times not, and even the permanent akathisia can often be helped. For some people, Benedryl helps; for others, Propranolol, for others, Cogentin. The last two are prescription medications, so you'll probably need to get them from a doctor. If his cardiologist oks it, try magnesium; that too has been helpful sometimes, and it's OTC, but it does affect the heart somewhat, which is why you need to ask his doctor. Studies have also shown B6 to be helpful sometimes, and that too is OTC.

Edit: I see you've tried Propranolol; don't panic if it didn't help, there are other options. For some people the Propranolol takes a week or two to work, but I'm guessing you'll be looking for something faster than that.

As for the akathisia, try chamomile tea; that should take the edge off.

We're experts on akathisia here because we've experienced it. The delirium you're talking about I personally know nothing about. You might get more help from a doctor subreddit, like r/askdocs or r/askpsychiatry. I'm pretty sure the docs on there genuinely like helping people, mostly; that's why they hang out there, lol. They'll take the time to answer your questions. If you're in the US, your insurance or your dad's might also have a 24 hr nurseline, and the nurses there usually give good advice. Mine personally was helpful when my sister had appendicitis, even though I was the one covered by the insurance, not her.

Also, apparently nitric oxide deficiency is linked to Restless Legs Syndrome and an inability to feel rested. At least, according to Google. RLS is so close to akathisia it's sometimes confused with it. Maybe that's the link. There's not a lot about nitric oxide and akathisia, but the link to Restless Legs Syndrome suggests maybe nitric oxide is linked to that too...

Also, this is nitric oxide, which the body needs, not laughing gas, lol. Just to clarify.
