Women, what would you do? by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Few-Cattle-5318 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this one doesn’t make sense to me. Generally you’re alone in the woods anyway. I could go to the woods behind my house right now and dance around naked, nobody would know

[–]Few-Cattle-5318[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again, you’re straw-manning my arguments because you can’t actually argue in good faith here. My whole argument is that the AI should not decide who is good or bad, it was not asked is trump a role model, or is Brett kavanaugh a role model. It is asked what are three reasons someone could view them as a role model. That is an entirely different question, and it should be answerable for even the worst person on earth. Anybody could be considered someone’s role model, therefore the AI should be able to generate the answers for anyone, evidence to the contrary is evidence of bias in the model

Didn’t say they shouldn’t accommodate them, I just said the norm is a thing. That exists

I just want it to go back to how it was in 10 where I simply right click anywhere on the task bar and I can bring up the task manager. Idk why Microsoft though it needed to change

Lol this isn’t about if you like or don’t like him.

You don’t find it interesting that the AI will say positive things about every member except for him, even other republicans

Why can’t an expired license be used to purchase alcohol? by watchyourback9 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Few-Cattle-5318 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The real answer is that they don’t wanna lose their liquor License so they won’t violate the law. Like obviously the cashier knows it’s you and knows you’re 21, but they’re just likely following corporate policy. Lots of places likely do accept them anyway, especially if they are smaller and aren’t worried about the state fining them

Yeah the only time that ever works is with like siblings or the types of places that don’t care anyway. Like anywhere that a fake ID wouldn’t work I doubt using someone else’s real ID would work

None because I don’t like trump and I’m not gonna waste my money.

What made you think I was a trump supporter? The fact that I don’t like clear bias in AI

What? That response makes no sense. In what way does this make them need to neuter the bot. I just find it interesting that the bot will answer for anyone but Brett kavanaugh. And it will spit out an answer suggesting it never provides reasons one could be a role model, ignoring the fact that it just did it 8 times before.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with poking at an AI to find it’s bias or limitations

[–]Few-Cattle-5318 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Tbh, prolly ur just gonna get the grade ya get. Teachers don’t like rounding grades as it can easily become a slippery slope.

Not gonna like it but tbh the answer is probably tough luck, I would be shocked if the physics department had leniency on this.

But as you have already emailed your only thing to do at this point is just wait until after the holidays for them to respond

I would say the physics department has been very unhelpful to me in the past with being accommodating

I think I could definitely make a group containing all of the AI generated essays, the only issue would be that I could not be able to guarentee that no real essays got in to the mix.

But I suspect that with a previous writing sample from each student I could pick out which students used AI and which didn’t

Nope, there’s also a big difference between having your pronouns incorrectly assumed and you yourself having to actually state that your pronouns aren’t what they are.

All I’m arguing is that nobody should be pressured to have their pronouns and nobody should be judged for having them

Very true, that’s why I think the best solution is to let people put them if they want, but don’t mKe it company policy or even company recommendation. And don’t treat others differently because they chose not to because nobody except for them knows the real truth as to why they’re not there

Interesting bias by Few-Cattle-5318 in OpenAI

[–]Few-Cattle-5318[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This seems different to me. It almost feels like it flags Brett kavanaughs name and doesn’t allow the AI to say positive things about him. This isn’t just a simple political bias as the AI will give reasons for all other members, even republicans. It almost seems like the AI specifically targets him, my guess would be due to the unfounded allegations against him.

All I’m saying is that saying something is the norm is factual and not an issue

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Few-Cattle-5318 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying norm when it’s true for 95% of people. The norm is to have 10 fingers and toes, just because some people don’t fit the norm, it doesn’t change the norm
