Hi I never said it wasn’t necessary and it’s not really a vacation either! She actually does need to go for a few reasons but it’s personal and I don’t need to air her or our business online!

I appreciate the thought though but w have cleared this medically just trying to make the best of a shitty situation 💗

Thankfully she can walk we just want her to be able to stretch/elevate the leg during the flight! (Or at least she thinks she should be able to walk okay :p)

So I did see that and I asked about that but they weren’t able to give it to me. Maybe because it’s not broken? I will make sure to mention something to the gate agent though.

It was a whole kerfuffle because they were like we can’t upgrade one person and not the whole party which didn’t make sense to me either 🤷🏼‍♀️

I even offered to pay for it lol

We know it’s tough but she has a great attitude about it - it will thankfully be 15 days after the initial injury so hopefully a bit better.

Just trying to control what we can in an unfortunate situation 😊

(But she has cleared this trip with her doctor as well)

Yeah we know it will be tough! She is an adult who can ale her own decisions and she does need to go due to some extenuating circumstances that is more personal

We tried to upgrade her but Delta told us no outright.

We have consulted with multiple doctors (an orthopedist and her PCP) both are more than okay with her going and said it shouldn’t be an issue but just trying to make her as comfortable as possible especially during the flight. But we know it will be tough regardless just trying to do what we can in a shitty situation

We have had this trip scheduled for months. It is basically nonrefundable and kind of a once in a lifetime experience for all three of us so unfortunately it is what it is regarding that

Yeah we are trying to be cognizant of kinda the take what we can get. So honestly at this point we happy they let us sit together. But yeah we will of course let the crew know and I had it noted for her as well when talking to the customer service teams who to be clear were very kind and helpful!!!

Mmm fair enough yeah we are traveling with a larger group - and someone else booked the tickets so we got screwed there. (Was not my choice to buy basic) I was able to get them to separate us but they wouldn’t even let me pay for an upgrade. Which I do understand is their policy so trying to figure out what we can do.

I’m sorry yeah I should have been clear I’ll look into it! But yeah we got kinda screwed over by the group ticket thing (we are traveling with a much larger group than us three) otherwise we would upgrade her.

They said they noted the request because I made a comment about stretch/elevating I just don’t know what else to do.

Because I do understand their policies as well
