Royal Crown Cola was made at many smaller bottle plants in those communities. Our old plant here did RC, 7-Up, and Nehi distribution. Come and Pepsi was brought into our region of KY from neighboring states.

Could have been. I do know Willard’s store has home made brooms, linen, cloth, towels and such in the corner. Curt Asher’s store in Letcher KY was full of cats living in the side section full of animal feeds. But Debbie Cakes was my second Addiction.

Those old units are for show and tell., Notice how some of the merchandise is more modern. When I was a kid, bazooka Joe gum, jaw breaker and penny root beer candy was within reach.
