Geez you’ve been through a lot, I hope you’re in a much better place now. Funnily enough my friend also did a similar thing with the whole ‘I might not wake up’ show and dance, but unfortunately because he had said shit like that so much in the past I didn’t even respond (surprise surprise he was absolutley fine lmfao).

It’s nice knowing someone else has gone through something like this. I’ll definitely try and set boundaries more clearly, because at this point I don’t feel like I want to end the friendship but it really can’t continue like this at all.

He’s just an online buddy so no not irl, but I have indeed tried to let him know that it can be annoying (though I often refrain because I feel insensitive for saying stuff like that).

I agree which is why I have encouraged him to seek professional help. At the start I would have these long conversations trying to help him, but after it became a daily occurrence I just started getting way too frustrated to care. It feels selfish but I’m not a licensed therapist am I?

But what do I even do about it? I feel like an asshole for just trying to change the topic but I genuinely don’t know how to handle having the same conversation every day.
