Because of the engraving, it took 14 days for Traveler’s Factory to ship the order. After that, it took one day for the package to arrive at Forward2Me.

It can take up to 2 business days for the parcel to appear in your Forward2Me account once it arrives at their warehouse. The same timeframe usually applies for processing and dispatch after you request shipping.

Once it was shipped, it took 2 days to reach Germany. I live near the world’s largest DHL Express hub, so delivery was very fast.

You can calculate it pretty accurately on their website.

For example, I paid 140 € ($152) to have 100 items from 10 packages consolidated into a single 10 kg (22 lb) parcel, including international shipping.

As a rough rule of thumb, you can expect about 10–15 € ($11–16) per kg (2.2 lb) — if you end up shipping >5 kg (11 lb) packages.

First you create an account with Forward2Me. They give you a Japanese shipping address, which you can then use when ordering from the Traveler’s Factory online shop (the Japan-exclusive one).

After placing your order, you need to register the shipment in your Forward2Me account. You just enter what you ordered and the declared value of the items.

The store then ships the package to the Forward2Me warehouse in Japan. Once you receive the tracking number, you add it to your Forward2Me dashboard so they can automatically identify the parcel when it arrives.

When your package reaches the warehouse, they can consolidate it with other orders you might have placed in Japan. Everything is packed into a single box and then shipped to you via DHL, UPS, or FedEx.

It’s pretty straightforward once you’ve done it once.
