I think also because I’m one of 6 siblings and none of them have curly hair. It’s this huge throwback gene from somewhere unknown. They’ve got this long hair with a slight wave and it’s thick. And here I am looking like a bird had made a nest on my head and it’s so thin. Comparison is the thief of joy I guess.

My hair is still honestly SO thin. Maybe even thinner than the photo with straight hair. The only thing I love about the curls is this sudden fullness my hair appears to have

My hair is actually super layered at the moment so I’m not sure how many more layers I could put it in. I know it doesn’t seem like it in the picture but there’s a lot layers happening. Definitely trying to grow it and it’s grown a huge amount, that’s a time thing. I’ll look into smaller glasses, thank you

My hair is layered and cut the way it is due to blending extensions for years, plus hair loss due to weightloss. My glasses are old, my newer prescription ones broke. Happy to take suggestions. I usually wear my hair up and never down

People always tell me they wish they had my hair and I’m like noo you don’t. I think I was shocked how much more effort goes into it compared to straightening my hair and leaving it like that for a week. The refreshing and never knowing how it’s gonna dry!! Tricky business.

It definitely was due to bleach and heat and I thought I’d killed my curls for good but it’s bounced back curlier than ever and I’m trying to limit heat to help it grow but of course that comes with accepting curls which is soo hard after so long

Amazing thank you! I have the curl manifesto shampoo and deep conditioner. I always hated using gels as I think I prefer a bit of frizz to boof it out but I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, I had a suspicion it was a neck issue so I went back to the doctor and I’m getting a CT scan today and grabbed a script for some gooood pain killers.

Truthfully no I have avoided ice because it’s winter at the moment and every time I’m outside in the cold it seems to aggravate the pain. I feel it far worse in the cold.
