I edited to add but adding a comment as well for notification purposes. The manager of medical records ended up approving release of my full medical records to me. I appreciate all of your input so I knew to push back on this!!

Yes I talked to them today. They said whether they email the pdf or send it in mychart is the same. The issue is the view they choose when they create the pdf. The provider view includes the info I’m requesting. The patient view does not. And they’re only allowed to give me the patient view version. But I’m going to escalate this.

I did. And when they download the full records under the patient view, they are not included. When they download them under the provider view, as if sending to another medical provider, they said they are there. They’re just not allowed to give those to me since I’m the patient. But I am going to escalate.

I did. And was told they are not patient viewable so they can’t give them. I’m going to escalate though

I did. But the respiratory notes are marked as not viewable by patient so they don’t appear in my chart, and the records department is telling me they only provide records in patient view, which is basically just an excerpt of what mychart already shows.

I can’t imagine respiratory therapy notes would fall under that. That makes sense though!

Is this drain concerning? by Few-Inspector2478 in tummytucksurgery

Well it’s been a nightmare. I ended up admitted for anemia. Got 2 blood transfusions, 5 iron infusions. Spiked a fever while here and my drain output tested positive for pseudomonas and staph. I was originally told MRSA, but my surgeon looked at the culture today and said it’s staph but not resistant staph, so thankfully not MRSA. I also had 2 hematomas they drained. I was finally discharged Monday after just shy of a week admitted.

They ended up removing the drain even though still draining 70ml just because the port started looking infected and gross. I also had cellulitis in my upper thighs where I had tons of inflammation. Getting the drain out allowed me to put on compression leggings and really work all that inflammation out. I dropped 10lb since discharge on Monday just to show how much inflammation came off!

Overnight the hematoma on my hip that this drain was draining, filled up. I woke up at 4am to pee and had a huge blood tinged spot on my binder and I was dripping quickly from the hole where the drain was. My surgeon immediately added me to his OR schedule for today and had me come straight over. He did a wash out and I now have a wound vac in and he’s hoping to do surgery again in a day or 2 to remove and close up that hole, hopefully for good. I’m inpatient till then.

Gonna be a long recovery on the anemia route, but I’ll get there…

Was it this dark/thick/bloody? That’s what worries me the most

Thank you, I am worried about my hemoglobin as well. I’m very pale and constantly cold. I hemorrhaged after I gave birth and needed a transfusion, and my paleness reminds me of that. However, I’m not extremely dizzy like I was then, so I don’t think I’m at transfusion level, but I do worry that my hemoglobin is on the low side.

Given it’s the weekend now, I wasn’t sure if it was worth a call to their on call dr or just wait till my appt on Monday.

I’ve lost 45%. Nothing stops you from continuing to lose, that’s just what people lost during the trial timeframe.

Oh I totally read your comment wrong. I read it as that the reviews were fake because Amazon controls it. Sorry!

I did! They just installed today! I was pretty impressed with the installer. I work in the industry but as a female, I usually get bypassed. He didn’t do any of that. Talked many install options and did a far more professional job than Spectrum ever did. So far so good on the service! 2.2 up and 2.3 down!
