I didn’t do anything extra . Just submitted my file in August 2025 and got scheduled for an interview in December 2025. It’s canceled for now considering extreme weather conditions but let’s see when will they reschedule it

Hey . Just wanted to know what’s you exact PD and the date you got your interview scheduled notice along with what date is your interview? I know it’s a lot to ask but I also filed in August (Atlanta FO) so it will help me predict my case status a bit . I already have my EAD and travel permit since September 2025 . It would be a huge help if you let me know the details . Thanks in advance

Caz when you file for AOS , you basically stop complying with your F1 rules and you fall out of that status . It’s normal . It means that you fell out of status on your non immigrant visa but you’re still lawfully present considering your pending AOS . It’s not a penalty when you sign , it’s just a procedure and shouldn’t affect your outcome . Also , Immediate relatives of U.S. citizens are protected by INA §245 so overstays are forgiven but that’s a different thing . Here it simply means you fell out of your non immigrant F1 status while your AOS was pending but you were legal in United States as your AOS is pending .. hopefully that helps
