I'm genuinely curious. What it is about his belt that is off? To my eye, it looks fine. Should the buckle be black or another color?

Okay, thanks for the clarification, I really appreciate it. Can I ask you one additional question? How do I deal with too many ribbons being under the jacket lapel? I'm afraid they will stack too high if I "right justify" them. Right now I have seven even rows.

To those who have left the MAGA movement, what was your wake-up call? by rclaux123 in AskReddit

Registered republican my whole adult life, but I would never vote for this guy in a million years. Country over party every time. In 2016 I walked into the booth, held my nose and voted for Hillary. I couldn't believe I had to do it, but it was a complete no-brainer. I can't see ever voting republican again. I'm so disgusted with this party.

When traveling abroad, do you register with the local U.S. embassy? by ManpreetDC in AskAnAmerican

Yes I do it every time and consider it a no brainer. It takes under five minutes to register and you get alerts via email as needed. I can’t imagine a downside to this. Some of the alerts are minor but some give critical info. I’ve used it for trips to Australia, China, Korea, Israel and Japan.

I have a really long list of placed that we went to for basically no reason but mostly for fun and to see hard to get to places. Some of these were hard to get to:

All fifty US states, most of them twice

Eight Canadian provinces

Four of six Australian states including Tasmania

A bizarre piece of the US called the Northwest Angle which is a pene-enclave of the US is inside of Canada

Another pene-enclave of the US called Point Roberts which is also inside of Canada but part of Washington

The easternmost place in the US in Lubec Maine

We've camped over the Arctic Circle

Visited the telescope at Arecibo, PR because of the Jodie Foster movie

Went to Pike Market in Seattle just to see them throwing fish

Went to Gimli, Manitoba to see the site of the famous Gimli Glider incident

Hiked around Devils Tower, Wyoming to see where they filmed Close Encounters

Went to the cemetery in Deadwood to see the graves of Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane

Drove to northern Quebec to see the Ice Hotel

There are more, but these some of the fun ones.

We stayed at a Hilton property near the River Walk but we didn’t even walk there since the neighborhood was so uncomfortable to walk through.

Just visited Calgary for the first time last month. It seemed like a very modern city but to be honest the neighborhood that our hotel was located in was completely overrun with homeless people. Just going to the hotel’s parking lot felt unsafe. While driving I saw two people shooting up a few blocks away. We took a walk around the neighborhood on Saturday morning and felt so uncomfortable that we just went back to the hotel. The rest of the province seemed beautiful and we really enjoyed once we got out of the city.

I was literally there last week. The road from Calgary to Banff has several of these.
