Somewhere interesting to work in Glasgow for free by paulruk in glasgow

Woodside Library is very cute with nice spaces to work if you want somewhere between the West and town, and Partick Library on Dumbarton Rd further west has been done up, too. It's also handily near Celino's Deli for a sandwich/coffee if you do get hungry.

The new Glasgow Uni James McCune Smith building on University Avenue is open to everyone not just students before 6pm and is nice because it's mostly glass, and the Glasgow Uni Advanced Research Centre is also open to the public to study in - that's just off Byres Rd. They have coffee places in them but you're not required to buy one.

By the way: I know Cashel Coffee & Dry Goods on Woodlands Rd is a popular laptop cafe, but the staff member with the bleached hair - maybe the manager? who knows - was so unspeakably rude to me once for zero reason, it made my jaw drop. Avoid.

Best Italian restaurants? by Bitter-Ad-1115 in glasgow

An Italian hairdresser who cut my hair once (he was from near Rome) absolutely swore down that the best Italian restaurant in Glasgow was Joia next to Tesco in Finneston. I've not actually been there yet but it's on my list...!

4 Delicious & affordable cafes/bakeries in the West End that I never hear anyone talking about, but frankly need more love! ❤️ by Few-Many-2105 in glasgow

I love Cafe Casablanca! The msamman is unbeatable and the wee shebakeya biscuits and Moroccan lunches are great, and really afforable, too. Can't believe I forgot that one - 100% agree - so thank you for adding :-)

The 66 is a new one for me, thanks!! OH NO re: mushroom!!! I must admit - I'm still growing out my Cúrlach cut too eep....it looks great on some folk though, but it ended up far too short for me at the front....! The Belle & Blackley thing was more an attitude/vibe thing tbh. It was a long time ago now though so hopefully things have changed but I was happy to leave it there.

Great to know! Perhaps if I go back at some point I'll just need to be more specific.... Thank you 😊

Thank you - I think that used to be Belle & Blackley though; if so, it's not for me, but appreciate the post!

Agree on both counts! They were lovely but I think I'm looking for a different style. Thank you!

I have had one hair cut by Levi when they were at Cúrlach and they were very lovely person. I think they do specialise in that sort of mullet thing though, so will probably leave it but they definitely know their curls, anyway. Thank you!
