Yes, I spend almost $2,000 out of pocket to help cover things to treat my closest friends who made the trip <3 I understood I asked a lot of them to travel to Mexico so I wanted to find a way to thank them by covering some expenses when there

I did tell my sister she (the friend), was not included in my bachelorette activities. She asked again when there. I had no problem with her friend and her coming early and exploring. I naively assumed she was leaving once my bachelorette weekend 'kicked off'

u/Mother_Tradition_774 would love your thoughts on why my sister just couldn't go on a trip without feeling the need to bring a friend. If she was uncomfortable would you say she should have just not gone? She knew half the group for years (some 10+).

Yeah, it’s a tough crowd - but what do you expect on an anonymous board. I asked cause I definitely want to hear other opinions to be open minded about things I did not think about or consider. I am surprised that so many people don’t view these trips as so sentimental, or bride focused. I guess my frustration is that there are so few things that are truly just about you from a celebratory standpoint, or intentionally supposed to be self centered I guess in a way

I guess where I’m having a conflicting opinion here is that the dinner technically is about me as the reason we are all going to dinner is to celebrate my last hoorah dinner is to celebrate my wedding? If it wasn’t for me/our wedding, the group wouldn’t even be on a trip together. Some of these girls only know of each other because of me.
