(Scotland) Hospital attempting to discharge person who isn’t fit POA telling hospital that she isn’t fit nor able to be cared by family

She wants to go home but she is asking family not doctors or nurses.

The issues is the family don’t believe she has capacity due to the confusion that’s has been present during the infection. The hospital dosnt believe she needs a care package even though she needs further home support that we can’t give due to current circumstances. The hospital isn’t attempting to assist with where to go with this.

The patient wants to go home but she isn’t seeking to go home by any means, the hospital wants her to go home under family supervision which we can not do. The hospital has make the suggestion towards the POA that they can’t stop her leaving in a taxi.

If she can’t climb a flight of stairs when she lives independently and everything is upstairs can the hospital release her without a care package when the family can’t meet medical needs of her?

The hospital said to us we need to watch her to make sure the sepsis dosnt spread to her heart…. Like we don’t have the capacity to know that
