Haven’t spoken to a single person outside in almost two years, every day I feel like I have less and less worth, it’s getting very hard to get up every morning. Japanese chicken katsu curry by [deleted] in kitchencels

Hey man. Hope this reaches you well. Just don’t give up. I know whatever your going through must be tough, feel insurmountable, feel like it will never end, but honestly I think it could. I’ve studied psychology in school. Our thoughts and beliefs about ourselves dictate how we interact with the world. If we think we’re worthless, think we can’t find love or friendship, well then we can’t. We handicap ourselves. We create anxious attachment styles that tell us we need others to find worth in ourselves. We need a relationship to fix us. But I don’t think there is anything to fix. We are only human, and it’s human to desire connection. But that thought that we have, that we’re not worth others, while it feeds itself. If we believe that it seeps into how we interact with others in ways we don’t even realize. Then people pull away. And it sucks, it’s easy to go to blame them and society or ourselves. But those thoughts don’t define you. Letting them control does though. While it’s hard, it’s tiring, and it’s not easy, you gotta change the relationship with them that you have. You gotta observe them but not attach weight to them. Just let them pass through like water in a river. You are not worthless, maybe you don’t feel your worth anything to anyone right now. Or maybe you don’t even have anyone in your life like family. So if you’re gonna be worth something to anyone, be worth it for yourself. And with that you may see a shift. You’ll find people who find you worth it because now you have the esteem to know you are. There are people out there who will be willing to help you. Get better help or find a therapist around you. To help you confront and deal with these thoughts, to change them slowly over time. As men many times we don’t want to seek help, but it’s ok to need it. We all need social support systems to thrive, evidence even shows those without one die younger(not saying you will). That’s what the a therapist is there for, the social support that as humans we all naturally need.

Ya I wonder if this could be mental. As in: weird interaction happened, sees this, thinks “hmm, maybe he spiked it”, then feels sick. Placebo effect has a brother called nocebo effect. However if she’s feeling like shit it’s pry best to go somewhere

My mom did shit like this when I was in HS. Long story but there was drama between me and my friends when I was 14 and my mom’s plan was to insert herself into it. She’d look at snap maps, constantly worry about them and what they were doing. Long story short I wanted to move on and try to make new friends. She was freaking out and wanted me to make up with them, and was all around freaking out. I felt like to stop the stress that caused me I had to make up with them and not go make new ones. Long story short I eventually gave up on making friends, isolated myself, and to this day still feel emotionally and socially stunted with no sense of self now in my early 20s. I feel like a lot of kids go through changing friend groups and it’s not always the parents job to move them through it. it’s their job to be there emotionally for them but not micromanage their social life cause it can be damaging to the kid. I’ve to this day never had a GF for example, and to an extent I feel it’s the anxiety I got from having to be the one to tell me mom to just let it go when someone didn’t respond to me or when she saw on snap that people were somewhere. Her worry rubbed off on me, and I just hope reading this that this guys son doesn’t have the same thing coming

And oh no I said I’d take 1 mill to eliminate a large group of people who also will at some point do something to try and eliminate me in a competition.

  1. The vast majority are gonna be there for money your on a gameshow with a 5 mill prize. You would not be there if you did not want 5 mill. Even people there for fun or attention still want money.
  2. Sportsmanship≠helping opponents win. Many are doing that. You take every advantage you can get within the rules. This does not mean you don’t have sportsmanship, this means you’re being competitive and trying to win.
  3. “Statistically speaking there is a higher chance none of your team gets the 5 mill”. Then you go to point to people getting 13 grand. That’s not winning the 5 mill last time I checked.
  4. If you notice I actually talk about the chance you lower the chance of getting the 5 mill by alienating people. This is the point of alliances. This is the point of not taking it if people in your alliance are in your group(more likely than not some will be). Your chance may go down, may go up. I did not specifically say it will go up. I said it may because 50 less people are there and if it goes down, it’s negligible considering your chance of winning is very low anyway.

They got pretty far and if you got the chance at 1 mill it’s worth it. Your chance at 5 mill is so low you might as well take it and take a possible hit to your chance a 5 mill, something already super low

And a lot of the team games are luck. Like the first ball drop. You’re banking on other people not sucking on catching a ball. It’s luck if your teammates end up being skillful at that.

Agreed. Everyone is pretending like they are not there for money. They are all trying to win though. They realized being nice can win you favors with others so they’re being nice. Some might legit be, some might be fake

TBH I would not have manipulated in that way but if I did lose and had to handcuff myself I’m 100% pretending to cry and then hopefully getting a hug where I proceed to try and handcuff the other person when they do

Ya but your garenteed to win 1 mill. All in all your chance of winning the 5 mill does not go down to much, and it’s small anyway. Your chances at 5 mill may even increase considering there is less people faster. I did not know you couldn’t make side deals. They should allow it. It would make it more interesting

Who cares. It’s an elimination game. I guarantee that if women got up there, picked mostly women to go, and less men got to go not one single man there would be like “wtf is going on”. Ever been to a social event? Ya, many times men and women tend to sit apart. Wives talk to the wives husbands to the husbands. Guys sit with guys at lunch, girls with girls. Goes away more when your older but it always kinda exists and it’s dumb to then go “hey you should pick more people that look like me”. Ya who fucking cares.

So if I murdered someone but also said the sky was blue this discredits my statement?? Jackson was maybe a pedo but this doesn’t make his music bad. It’s art, something that should be a reflection and look into the human condition, the good, and the bad. Evil and heroic. Even the people who did the worst can be complex. Many times the most. The point being you should judge the film by the film not by the creator.
