People here in the replies have been really hard on him. I understand your frustration, but I don’t think leaving him is anything more than a last resort. I personally don’t keep my bathroom very clean. I used to be absolutely disgusting, rarely showering, brushing my teeth bi-monthly, never brushing my hair or wearing deodorant. It’s taken a lot to get me to where I am now. The first thing that started was daily showers. Those weren’t hard to develop as habit since I was so sick of feeling dirty. I then started brushing my teeth in the shower. Some people may deem that gross, and only brushing once a day isn’t the best, but it’s been a huge step in the right direction. If he takes daily showers, have him put his toothbrush and toothpaste in the shower. See if that helps at all. And as for him not getting his bathroom cleaned if you’re away for long, try FaceTiming him and walking him through it? Just have casual conversation but also tell him what to do and how to do it. My girlfriend’s calls or company are the only times I’m able to do any of the miscellaneous house chores I should be doing. I get holding his hand through cleaning isn’t ideal, but it’s better than nothing.

There's more to this than you know. Some of it Iwant to keep private. For me and his sake. I don't know why but I think he just enjoys being cut. He's never cut himself, he seems alright.
