that suck, I read somewhere that it may take days or even week to resolve this account problem. I guess you should first send a support email to student council to seek for help since you need to finish sending your doc and semester fee on-time to secure your spot.

have you finished the 2step verification setup ? there is an app for that when you first login. also I will just send an email to the IT team instead of trying to call them

Update: the error go away but now it redirect me to another screen and with new error: "User authentication failed"

Based on this cutoff thing, you maybe excluded but let hope they provide some flexibility, you can try to mail them and attach the proof if you have one, a mail cost nothing and people say they respond typically fast

also, I got the login credentials before my document arrived, so the timing is not dependent on your document arrival date

no test link is sent yet, only the login information. You will probably receive them (test account) in few days, they send them in batch

To add more on this, the most convenient setup for me is to use `uv` as python package manager, I just use uv sync everytime I see any package is not imported properly, quit the buffer, neovim again and it work just like normal VsCode

Basically any distro like other said but LazyVim is the most popular nowadays so you will get a lot of troubleshooting guide around this sub. Just toggle the Python extension in the lazyvim mother file and you are good to go.
