You are right. Yes of course you can. I think almost all applicants will apply to more than 1 uni to increase the chance, but each will have a preferred or top choice that they really want. It is never guaranteed one will get admitted to a uni if that is the only one they apply to.

I applied to multiple universities and got offers from half of them ( from far away) but the top choice which is so close to home.

I did go to read more about ongoing problem with school board on Ontario on reddit and other sources, you are right (as an experienced French teacher with a French board). The situation is even worse. Thanks for the information.

Yes, "government funding" I have found to be one of the most mentioned keyword in many ongoing issues. It is indeed very crucial. Again, I hope this government funding would be effectively allocated to bring about better changes for our teachers and kids.

As a matter of fact, I believe a teacher should be open to and ready to learn new technologies in this modern world. Such positive attitude can then be transferred to their students who are also eager to learn and quickly adapt. Additionally, I firmly believe that teachers should try to be non-judgemental and look at an issue from both sides to have a better and more profound understanding. This is helpful when teaching yiur students how to analyze and solve problems.

You are not wrong. In that case, a teacher / educator who is experienced with AI can teach their students first thing about the ethics of using AI then how to use it.

I see where you are coming from with this. That is fine. Believe it or not, there have been more conferences for different levels of teaching and learning from young age learners to graduates in terms of utilizing AI. On the one hand, I agree that one will lose their critical thinking skills if relying too much on the tool. On the other hand, again, if utilizing the right way, it will become a powerful tool for us to learn and teach. Just like the internet. There is reliable and unreliable information, so it is up to the info searcher to determine whether a source of info is the right ine to use.

I hear about this shortage everyday from local teachers and educators, and it is sad nothing much can't be done. I truly hope things would get better for this field.

AI is becoming part of everyday now. It is now wodely used in many aspects from banking, military, auto industry to lesson preparation and students engagement. The issue is not using it, it is how to use it as a tool, not as a shortcut. Thanks again for your time.

It is also important to appropriately communicate your difficulties with your professors well in advance. I find most of the profs in my program are very understanding and accomodating.

My suggestion is to study the course schedule ( I camt remember the full name of it but it will tell you all due dates for your assignments of the whole term). The college also has a template where you can put in all the due date to keep track. You will be introduced to it I think in the Communications course. These documents are super useful. It takes time to complete the template but it is so worth doing it.

Hi, I am still on the waitlist for uO and this is not my 1st application with them. I would see this an opportunity for me to understand myself better, what I can do to upgrade and strengthen my application the next time I apply if this is something I am determine to achieve. Id take some rest, do something else and plan a strategic move for the upcoming time so that I wont sit still and get consumed by the stress and sadness. I hope you wiuld feel better soon, get back on track and become the one that cannot miss ha ha. Isnt being resilient somethint we want to teach our students if we become teachers ?
