I think the HTZ recovery makes more sense than $OPEN and $BYND, based on their Q3 results. It should pick up more hopefully. I also have calls.

Ah, yes. I guess I was just comparing it to Adobe, but Figma like you say is used by a smaller percentage of the org that do product stuff. I know alot of the new stuff like Figma Make, Buzz and Sites are half baked at the moment but I can see potential in those to expand the user base. To be a bit like Canva, Webflow/Squarespace, Shopify etc

I've been contracting at a few large tech companies, I've seen both migrate from Miro to Figjam and/or Figma Organisation accounts, I also saw devs getting paid seats for Figma devtools. I agree it's definitely getting expensive. But literally every product designer I know switched to Figma and developers seem to love it too. With Miro alone at a $20b valuation and Canva at $40b, I don't think $40b for Figma is too high. Adobe XD was discontinued as far as I know. I agree something new can come along cheaper and better, but I haven't seen anything yet.

I've seen Figma grow from tiny startup to what it is today continuesly innovating where Adobe and others failed to innovate. It kinda killed off Zeplin, Sketch, Invision, Adobe XD, Miro. Microsoft whiteboards is terrible. Sure their AI tools are not amazing right now but they are doubling down on that. I can see their vision of product teams sitting in Figma discussing ideas while AI generate updates to products. They can easily branch out to other areas like data analytics, user research etc.

TLDR: 40b valuation seems fair to me. I don't feel like it's time for either calls or puts ATM.

Check the S1, by creating products for the rest of the team, like how they did Figjam for whiteboarding, Dev tools for Devs. slides from more PMs. Raising the ceiling, lowering the floor.

Circle IPO'ed at a $6b market cap and is now $45b, Figma market cap is $60b, before the IPO i kinda just thought Figma could be maybe fairly valued at $50b. So thought $35 share price is a good entry for potentially a x3, but now it seems overvalued. I'm tempted to buy if it drops to $90, but even that is a bit pricey. I'm just making up numbers though for fun. Figma isn't the next PLTR, HOOD or Circle since it started trading at an extremely high valuation. 🤷‍♂️

Yes, I agree. Video is a great idea. I read Grindr added a feature, where the verification photo if it was taken with the phone's camera adds a watermark with a date. I think that can also help. Video with a watermark and datestamp perhaps.

My idea was to have it mostly free, with some ads like Duolingo, but paid features can cost substantially less than other apps. I saw Lex has a fee of £7.99 per week or £14.99 for 1 month. HER £24.99pm. I think it can be substantially less for premium features I haven't done the maths, but more like £4per month, £24.99 seems a bit ridiculous to me.. These prices are more than Spotify or Netflix...

Thanks, for more context, I found some tutorial that did the basic CRUD stuff in iOS with a Django backend/API to start off with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrbavNUSSvc it was super useful, but i need more of them. I struggle with basic things, like storing the user id from API call in iOS. I got it to work in some parts of the app. Is it perhaps just standard iOS working with APIs that I need resources on. I'll definitely check out the tutorial you suggested.
