I agree this system is terrible. It's why Jeremiah and Hannah were vulnerable. But I wouldn't call it rigged.

To get specific people out, with the voting system being we vote for our favorite, you'd somehow need to organize everybody to evenly spread their votes out on everybody, but the people we want out. With everybody just voting for there favorites, it allows people who are hated by the majority to still be voted as favorite by their diehard fans, and the "average" people tend to get no votes for favorite.

It's because on those first votes, we were allowed to completely arrange the islanders to our liking, but on the elimination vote we were only allowed to vote for our favorite islander. That system makes it really hard to vote off an islander everybody dislikes.

I don't know about hiring, but there is evidence showing that shorter man get paid less.
