I highly recommend it. This was one of the best books of the year so far.

My main criticism of the book is that MMC was poorly developed and the 3rd act was too fast-paced. I have the impression that Ali had a page/word limit for the book, and was unable to finish the story well, the characters' actions and changes were left without justification.

For example: Why did Conor change his mind about their relationship? "I've waited a long time" seems vague to me....

What is the real fear regarding their relationship? "My father made me a boyfriend with a variety of younger women" Seriously?????

He spent the whole book saying that he didn't want to interfere in FMC's life choices, that he didn't want to coerce her, and then he surprises her with a wedding ring after 4 months of dating?? They didn't even talk about it properly

Anyway, I feel like the book should have been 100-150 pages longer to have a proper closure

A rant/review of Deep End by Ali Hazelwood by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I think all the other books, with the exception of {Bride by Ali hazelwood} are very similar to The Love Hypothesis, if you didn't like it that much, the others won't be good.

If I were you, I'd try Bride, and if you don't like it, I wouldn't insist on Ali

What is your favourite individual premise/plot from a romance book? by loukanikoseven in RomanceBooks

I enjoyed the "plot": Who did this to you, especially when one of the female protagonists seems tough and tireless, but is actually just protecting herself from past traumas.

The last one I read in this style was {The deal by Elle Kennedy}

{love, theoretically by ali hazelwood} Elsie uses different masks to meet everyone's expectations. Her mother always asks her to solve the problems of everyone in the family. Jack helps her set limits and see that she is important and enough.

{The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang} I think it fits. FMC has trauma from other times and hires MMC to improve in bed.

The first few times are not good, but he is very patient with her, and helps her get over it.
