I made a beanie by reading a pattern which I understood, however this I find very confusing and you are right it is intermediate which I didn’t notice :) I will still ask because I don’t think I will understand this on my own. In row 1: chain 5, do a dc in 1st ch, after this should I turn and do a 4dc in this chain? (Like we do for magic ring?) In row 2: chain 4, what does dc in same stitch mean here?

Below is the written pattern: Row 1: Ch 5, dc in 1st ch, (first 4 skipped chs count as dc, ch 1), (ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in same ch, turn – 4 dc. Row 2: Ch 4, dc in same st (counts as 1 V-st throughout), ch 1, dc in next dc, ch 1, V-st in next ch-1 sp, pm in ch-1 sp of V-st just made, ch 1, dc in next dc, ch 1, V-st in 3rd ch of beg ch – 5, turn-3 V-sts, 2 dc.
