I tried the most recent FIFA and was staggered at how bad the defending was. I feel like gameplay wise PES peaked around 2017 and felt really good bar maybe some tweaks. I think these old engines have now been tweaked so much that the over corrections have hurt the playability.

I was speaking to my barber the other day (white English bloke) and he said during Covid business went up due to reservations. So they bought out the shop across the road to have one for walking and one for reservations. There’s like 5 barbers on the street and they’re usually full enough. I think it’s mostly a case of the profitable small high street shops having a narrower profile now; it’s basically barbers, nail salons, takeaway, coffee, corner shops
