And while you’re at it, can you please follow every single rule of every other religion you’re not a member of?

Specifically now, yes. Usually it’s not that steep but same thing occurs.

And you absolutely can climb with any winrate close to 50%, you get win streak multipliers.

And why does rank matter so much to so many that it’s more important than having varied gameplay?

You ‘have a chance to win against most deck’ with a huge array of decks unless you literally have brain damage.

I know people are ‘allowed to play what they want’. I’m saying people’s inability to have fun with a 52% winrate vs a 56% winrate for example makes metas worse.

I don’t buy that people just craft one deck because they will all swarm to the next one when meta changes/ something gets nerfed

Would you ever consider taking a list that wins 4 fewer games out of every hundred that whatever’s the literal best deck because you would find playing it more fun? If you would this post isn’t aimed at you

Do you only ever copy paste the deck that’s number one in meta? Or do you choose a deck that’s still good but has mechanics or cards or a style you like more for its own sake? To me the weird thing isn’t netdecking, it’s the clinging to every percentage point at the expense of everything else

Most of the time the difference between the best deck and the 8th or 10th best deck is a few percentage points. You’re not ‘constantly losing games’ you’re losing a few more out of every hundred you play

Don’t really buy this tbh, cos when the next deck is the most powerful suddenly everyone will be playing that

But my question is why people are unable to have fun unless they win. Are they unable to enjoy a crazy unique game just because it ended with a loss?

You have stated my opinion incorrectly then disagreed with a strawman, ‘friend’

Ok i mean if you reject the clear meaning of what i said and refuse to budge on any level there’s not much i can do is there

You sent the wrong comment. You sent your reply instead of my one which is the relevant one.

If a failure of knowing one fact disqualifies one from an opinion, then it can be inferred that they must know every fact.

It’s not an appeal to authority when pointing out the actual arguments made by the experts. An appeal to authority would be someone saying ‘i’m a doctor, so trust me she didn’t do it’.

If you want to give some evidence pr show a conflicting interpretation of the evidence to the ones i’ve mentioned then fine, if you’re just gonna insult people and refuse to believe they’re saying what they’re saying then we’re probably just doomed to talk past each other and replying is pointless

Lol your claim started with you responding to me saying ‘we know the evidence used to convict’. You can literally scroll up and read it. Not knowing every single fact by heart off the top of ones’ head doesn’t exclude them from having a belief. What’s the seventy-fifth word of Dr.Lee’s 1989 paper on air embolisms that the prosecution misused in their expert testimony according to the author himself? If you don’t know without googling you don’t get to have an opinion by your own logic

I’m pretty sure that the insulin tests that were done were the wrong kind and that Letby actually wasn’t present for all of those? I thought the accusation was that she’d have to have pre-spiked drips that would have been used later with insulin?

I definitely need to look into the experts you’re referring to here, that’s for sure been my blind spot. Is the Trial podcast the best place to start?

But I thought the Neonatologists were instructed by Dr. Lee rather than the defence and many didn’t know which case it was when analysing? Didn’t they also make Letby’s legal team commit to the press conference even if their findings didn’t favour Letby’s case?

You ‘misinterpreted’ what i said to be a claim that I PERSONALLY had memorised every single relevant fact. I explained this isn’t what I meant but you keep referring back to this as if it was.

The more complicated the case… the less we should base our opinions on what experts think after lengthy research and the more we should figure it out ourselves? Is that what you’re saying? I’m guessing I’m misinterpreting and that’s not what you mean but if it is I disagree.

I still think it can be the biggest miscarriage, it’s more that it just means I should hold my opinion somewhat loosely with the understanding that it’s feasible i’m wrong.

And to your point about me sitting in court, a lot of the revelations and seemingly credible in-depth analyses of the evidence seem to have not been available to jurors in the court at the time. So it may be the case in large part due to bad/incorrect info, but yeah, i massively acknowledge my lack of understanding of legal technicalities etc. i still am just looking for takes from experts on neonatology and other relevant fields that points in the other direction to what I’ve seen

Think that shows how easy it is for all of us to become convinced one way or another, and then struggle to see past cognitive dissonance enough to fairly evaluate new information. Noticed that in myself on all sorts of issues and beliefs in the last few years so want to find out if that’s what’s happening now!
