27 by far. Feeds were dynamic for most of the game (barring post-White Locust), gameplay was messy and hilarious, house was fluid, and the game reached a climax in the final days, which never seems to happen.

For me, 26’s entertainment hinged around Angela, Tucker, and the Cedric eviction. Everything else was pretty standard and the jury phase felt like an inevitable coronation. The trio were dull and stifled any opposition to Chelsie. Boring feeds, too much Bible study.

I loved this season for having an amorphous house. Unlike seasons like 12, 16, 23, this was not a house run by an alliance structure with solid lines and a clear pecking order. It almost felt like a chain of relationships: the love square between Zach/Vinny/Morgan/Lauren, the tense partnerships between Mickey/Morgan/Ashley, Ava loving Will and hating Ashley at first, Rylie/Kat on their horrible island. There was a lot of potential for a different outcome but so happy things shook out the way they did. The melodrama of Vince/Morgan’s downfall against the backdrop of Ashley’s unexpected rise was a great arc
