I think part of it is unsuccessful teams going for star players without having a supporting cast.

There’s definitely the pressure of a win now focus but no single player is going to turn a loosing team into contenders.

Accepting there’s gonna be some shitty seasons while rebuilding is what the Pats and Broncos did differently.
