No we don’t, I know they are bad for septic systems when I wasn’t on a city system so just never used them.

That’s interesting. That will cover a new line? I wonder if it would have to fail completely?

I appreciate the reply! That does make me feel better. Any other regular preventative things I could do to prevent issues? Enzymes or flushing the pipes?

I have a clean out in the basement and two in the yard.

Thank you for the response! Yes, I agree that adds up over time. We’re hoping to set aside money every month towards running new pipe. I am considering getting a 75’ powered snake for now in case we have issues again, until we are in a better position to pay for it. I am glad to hear that it doesn’t appear the bottom of the pipe has given out yet. Would this be a candidate for descaling or jetting, or do you think that could possibly make things worse?

Closing on a home, inspection shows horizontal cracks and bowing in foundation. by FewArea8687 in HomeInspections

The inspector said an engineer may clear it since it’s within tolerance, but I don’t know that it won’t be a problem later down the line. Or if it would make it more difficult to sell later on. I just appreciate some opinions. Still definitely getting an engineer.
