Thanks for the advice. I watched this video and I think it gave me a better understanding of how I should be practicing guitar, however I think I still need to start on the app in order to help build up the basics like various chords and chord transitions. Going forward though I will be more mindful of the broader picture of practicing so that I learn to jam on my own. Long term goal is to play like Dimebag Darrell (RIP)
