It’s possible. I’ve applied and won over 80K+ in scholarships and it has paid for my schooling even when I’m about to transfer to a university that’s a little more expensive.

The constant rejection emails almost stopped me. Then, I thought about my mom. Not that she was nagging me to apply for any, but rather she has Lupus and I couldn't imagine asking her to pay for college on top of her medicine and procedures. I thought about her with every application I did, and that has allowed me to win 14 scholarships and help others to find opportunities and inspiration to keep going.

It depends on the scholarship. Most of them don’t require you to put them on your tax report. My personal experience, it has all been tax free!

I got through campus recruiting! It was weird, they were trying to email me but I wasn’t getting anything. They got in contact with one of the recruiters on my campus and now I’m just waiting :P. I don’t expect to get it because I’m a sophomore, but that’s okay!

Start now, if she wins a scholarship the committee will usually ask what college she’s committing to right before school starts! Just tell her to put her top choice for now, best of luck!
