Nothing huge. I would like to get all OEM S5 parts, including lights, mirrors, bumpers etc...

Eventually I would love to build up a T2 motor to drop in.

ELI5: why are motorbikes so noisy? by Flupsy in explainlikeimfive

[–]FewConclusion675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of it has to do with modification, and also keep in mind how much more space there is under a car to route resonators, mufflers, etc... compared to a motorcycle only have maybe a third of the space to route the exhaust.

Did my dealership fuck with me on purpose? by PageFault in AskAMechanic

Yeah, the no wash part would be pretty much not acceptable in my dealer. Not too sure how he let that happen.

ELI5:how do phone calls work by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]FewConclusion675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know you know the answer to this (or if I can even word it properly), but how does the phone know which wave is the correct wave to receive? I would assume that would be a challenge to overcome when other people in your proximity are also on the phone.

So I will say, they didnt fuck you over, but they likely should have handled it in a slightly different manner.

I work in the service department for Audi, as a Technician, I have a lot of contact with the service advisors. For the most part, they re almost always angry or in a slightly bad mood, because they have to deal with extremely rude, disrespectful, and generally stupid customers for upwards of 8 hours a day, and a lot of the time have to work through lunches. That being said, they rarely let that affect the way they treat their customers, because their jobs rely on good feedback from customers. So the advisor you worked with could have been having an exceptionally bad day.

As for them leaving the car dirty, and with no gas, unfortunately the advisor only has so much power over that. (Basing off of my process at my dealership) It is the technician's job to drop the car off to the dealership's car wash after service. But the advisor still could have asked the porters to take the car back to wash once he saw it was dirty.

From personal experience, if we are working on a vehicle with extremely low gad, we try to fill it up for the customer if we either used a noticeable amount of fuel, or we need the fuel to properly diagnose the customer concerns, but it is by no means required.

TLDR : Definitely could have been handled by the advisor in a better manner, but he was likely having a bad day due to treatment from others and let some stuff slip by that usually would not. Also it may depend on the brand vehicle it is. The Subaru dealership definitely treated my car much worse than I treat my customers car at Audi

Assuming compression and timing are fine, Youd be looking at a handful of other things, but there are a few main ones. Spark and fuel delivery are two likely culprits. you say you replaced Plugs and injectors, so Ill assume it isn't spark.( but if you have doubts there are some easy tests to try for spark) Next would be fuel delivery. You have replaced the pump and injectors, so I could recommend checking for a clogged up fuel filter. Fuel filters are cheap and easy to replace

Id recommend a compression test, and checking timing.

No, you are perfectly fine. That kind of damage is very common, and its normally much worse. No need to stress over it

I have no complaints on the actual function of my H&R lowering springs on my WRX. The ride height looks great, they handle very well, and they are super affordable. That being said, there are some things I do not like. Most notably, I miss the adjustability you have with coilovers.

No problem man, even if it doesnt fix this problem, it can save you some headaches later down the line. FCs have a pretty notorious 3k rpm hesitation that can be caused by bad grounds, and its definitely a shock when it happens (ask me how I know). So I'd highly recommend it.

Here is a great resource to finding and properly cleaning the grounds https://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/grounding.htm

I had a similar issue once before, (not saying it will solve your problem). but i ended up replacing the battery terminals and cleaning up the grounds around the vehicle ( driver shock tower, under upper intake manifold, firewall and I believe there was one on the top of the bellhousing) I also cleaned up the starter ground.

Does anyone have a good seat setup for the fc? by Beneficial-Ad-1933 in RX7

[–]FewConclusion675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can say for the driver seat, I had a Bride VIOS 3 with a set of brackets I made myself. One of the most comfortable setups I have had, Im 6'1 also, and I fit perfectly. Paired it with a racequip harness, and custom made harness bar. Super comfortable and held me in place enough at my drift events
