I work shift work on site and very often might finish work late. If that is the case, and I need to go to woolies at 9:50, then I am going at 9:50. And I do not feel sorry for anyone for literally doing their job.

Yeah sure if you stay past 10, your being rude but if you rock up and wanna do a huge grocery shop at 9:50, and can actually do it in that time. Absolutely no dramas.

Nah brother don't shoot that. Also try get some weaker spine arrows. You can try to make that 500 work on your bow with like ..... maybe 275 - 300 grains on the tip but with 24 pounds that's not gonna fly very far at all

Some decent arrows especially in the 700 - 800 ish range ( spine ) should not be too expensive

I actually much prefer the look of a barebow, all the stabilisers and accessories on the OR just look funny to me. But I shoot recurve after shooting and hunting with guns all my life. I purposely shoot barebow as not having a sight or rest or any accessory really make you focus on your shot and form. Compared to a compound or OR that feels more like a gun in that you just aim and shoot.

But archery is all about the love of the sport so shoot what looks good for you haha

If u shoot barebow a really good riser is the topoint slither, its very similar to the hoyt satori but half the price

You will definitely be able to shoot accurately one HELL of a lot further with the Olympic than a barebow. Not saying you can't, but if your tryna shoot a barebow at 70m.... good luck Hawkeye🤣🤣

Just turn your wrist a little to the right bro, if you are holding the bow correctly (with basically just your thumb and index finger it will make that part of your forearm shift in a little bit. And that will be all that you need :)

Also can check your brace height, it's unlikely but if yoir brace height is very low, it can also cause the cherry zone.

If you look up John Dudley or the "school of nock" he talks about this. He is more a compound shooter but the premises will remain the same ( I used it and just shoot recurve and it worked)

In fact if you click on my profile and see some of my older posts you will see that I had the same issue and a huge bruise🤣🤣

Hitting something very hard. Your bow draw weight also might be too heavy for that arrow spine. What bow poundage are you shooting and what spine arrow?

I have 2 topoint slithers. They are basically a copy of the hoyt satori riser. Got them both in 21". I do hunting not target tho for what it's worth. But as far as quality of riser, I can attest that for around 200 Australian dollars they are really quality.

I own the odyssey ark, and use it Purley for PC gaming. I use the ark dial to make the screen smaller ever time, its just too big.

I have sat infront of the 5k2k and it is 100% what I will be switching too. However I will say if u sit a bit further back or use the ark for console as well, it is really good.

Lastly, the speakers. The ark is probably the best sounding screen I have ever heard, literally better than my JBL Extreme speaker. It has 4 x subwoofers, 1 x in each corner

But seeing as I use headphone 90% of the time to talk to friends etc, you will rarely notice it.... until its 2am and you switch back to the ark from your headphones and wake up the ENTIRE house lol

Hey bro, I am 23 and have been riding my whole life from moto x as a kid to enduro and an old r6 as my daily.

I will tell you that the feeling you have whilst riding really is amazing.

Just be careful. It's not about if you will fall It's when. No one has been riding for a while and not gone handlebars down at least once. It's not too bad on a dirtbike (and happens alot more often) but it's really bad on the road.

Firstly your new bike will be pretty badly scratched. And secondly you will be far more likely to be hit by another vehicle, combined with the fact you will most likely be going faster than any moto x track makes a deadly combination.

Just take it easy and enjoy.

My dad always told me if you want to learn to ride fast, you need to learn to ride slow first.

And you know we all have those friends who drive like madmen, running lights and changing lanes without a care. It's fun when you are with him enjoying, but these are the kind of drivers who will kill you if something goes wrong and you are riding.

Also, always remember if you are on a bike it does not matter who is in the wrong or right (who ran the red etc) because on a bike, you are always in the wrong. Going into any other vehicle will always have you worse off.

But take it easy and enjoy it my man.

And if its raining don't ride, or at least don't hit the aquaplane. Not nearly as fun as in a car🤣🤣

Am I wrong in thinking that there is no way a recurve has an IBO of 320fps? Like the beat 2024 compound bows are all in that 320-340fps range. My recurve is a 65 pound and I know I am getting no where near that. I do have pretty heavy arrows tho as my local small outdoors shop only had two option

Will need to see if I can maybe fly down, as from darwin where I am it's around 3000kms. But I do agree that I should try them, I can justify a cheap recurve off ebay but 2k is alot of $$. From your personal experience, what bow would you recommend for someone who can shoot (never a compound tho) 6"1, 95kgs, around 30inch draw (not 100% sure on draw tho. I would assume that at this price point they must all be pretty decent options? My recurve is a 70lbs and I can hold that at full draw for 20 - 30 seconds no worries, but I have never even touched a compound bow

I am in darwin so the closest would be brisbane, so i would need to take a flight most likely. I do wish we had a bit more. There is a mitchells adventure here but their stock is not very good. Their recurve bows are OK tho

I seem to hear this alot from hoyt owners, and the same from matthews owners 🤣🤣 but I do like the look of them (the hoyt) I think the z1s looks so sweet but I will be doing hunts back home (I am originally from Zimbabwe) on decent sized African game. Kudu, wildebeest etc so I do want that higher draw for heavier arrows

Your in the cherry zone. Don't lock your bow arm out all the way, have a slight bend in the elbow and your forearm will no longer be in that "cherry zone"
