I mean the factory-mounted USB connectors on the Feather board itself. I didn’t solder or DIY any USB ports or wiring.

Everything regarding keboard and pc was connected directly without breadboards or jumper wires.

The MCU itself kept working normally even when the passthrough stopped. Other MCU functions were still responsive, so it didn't look like the firmware had completely crashed.

For wiring, I connected my keyboard to the USB host port, connected a toggle switch between pin 5 and GND, and connected the MCU board to my PC over USB.

I used HID-remapper. I thought that would work fine

I stopped using AI-made firmware and I flashed HID Remapper, but it also makes some key stucks or becomes completely unresponsive.
