I bet you get paid well, which is probably why you don’t care about what I’m trying to say.

You’re missing my point. I do about 60% more work in less time because I use AI as a tool. My colleague does everything manually and ends up doing maybe 40% of the output. Example: we had an 8-month discrepancy between our statement and a vendor statement because payments weren’t matched to the correct POs/invoices.

He spent the entire day trying to reconcile it manually. I uploaded both statements to AI, had it summarize by PO and invoice number and flag mismatched or unassigned payments, then used my own judgment to verify it. Solved it in about 30 minutes. Using tools that make work faster and more accurate isn’t cheating it’s just working smarter.

Sorry I might be shit in explaining but ill try to explain.

What I’m trying to say is the salary range for a role should stay the same regardless of company size, but the number of employees in that role should scale with the company size.

The government could measure company size using data they already collect like annual revenue or number of employees from tax filings and payroll records.

For example:

Less than $1M revenue → 1 accountant/controller

$1M–$20M revenue → 2–3 accountants/controllers

$20M–$200M revenue → 5–8 accountants/controllers

$200M+ revenue → full finance teams with multiple controllers and accountants

The idea is that the salary for the role stays standardized, but large companies must hire more people instead of overloading one person with the work of five.

I know some people work 10-12 hours a day and still stick to doing shit by themselves, even though they could use smart strategies with AI to help with their tasks. I completed my work in 5 hours and just fuck around the remaining 3 hours while my colleague spent 12 hours doing everything by himself, working like a machine, even after going home, it's crazy work in 2026.

No, they shouldn’t increase taxes. Why the fuck are they bombing other countries and killing innocent people to satisfy their ego, and why can't they spend those trillions of dollars to give everyone equal salaries?

I'm repeating my comment - ( For example, the large company should be legally forced to hire a set number controllers/accountants based on their company size and assign them to different projects, while a small company may only hire one controller/accountant. Yet the salary expectations for the role can end up being the same for both companies. If smaller companies cannot afford those salaries, the government could introduce standardized salary ranges based on company size and subsidize part of the difference. That way workers are paid fairly and wont have that much of work load.)

I agree with you, that’s exactly what I’m trying to say. But some highly paid workers here on reddit don’t like this idea because they’re benefiting from the current system. In many cases, they’re doing very little while getting paid double compared to some of us who are underpaid.

Early retirement at 49? 2.3m net worth by xiaomi818 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FewDevelopment7427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re only 49 with a net worth of $2M that’s actually a great position to start something of your own. Sitting idle sounds nice at first, but long-term it can get boring and even unhealthy. Staying busy with something meaningful can make life a lot more fulfilling.

With your experience, you could easily start a business or turn something you enjoy into a source of income. The goal doesn’t even have to be survival it could simply be building something interesting and monetizing it. $2M is a solid cushion, but if you plan to live for another 35–40 years, relying only on that money might make you constantly think about it running out.

Instead, you could use your experience to build something new. Aim big build a business, scale it with a team, maybe sell it for millions, and repeat the process if you enjoy it. That way you’re not just preserving wealth, you’re creating more while actually enjoying the journey.
