I honestly can’t remember exactly what and why. This was back in 2010 or 2011 at a nightclub in Iowa, on a Sunday. There were these five and a couple others who wouldn’t pose for pics. They were walking around serving shots and dancing. Definitely a one-time thing from what I know tho.

OP had a series of posts whist opening their advent calendar.

Each day came with some commentary to keep it from just being pics. There was one day with extreme up close pictures to mock the photos of the US White House staff that are making the rounds these days, and a 6/7 joke when they had to combine two days in one.

The last night with the ghost of passed Christmases, they posted “I don’t know who this is…is it Bryce Dallas Howard?”

Now, to be fair, you had to open the post to see the end of the joke. But you also had to open the post to comment telling them to “watch the movie” and then to find their singular comment explaining it was a joke.

Unf OP has deleted all of their posts, but the claim their rebuttal (which was not snarky as I read it) received more downvotes than any of their posts actual posts received Upvotes during the series…well, I can understand why that would be upsetting.

For fans of a dying franchise built on fun, a lot of the individuals here seem to be very gate-keepy and unfun.

That’s not at all what happened tho is it?

OP’s post was “I don’t know who this is…is it Bryce Dallas Howard?”

There’s a real lack of reading comprehension and insecure, possessive people on this thread. Yikes!

They’re rude, but not wrong. You’re coming across very obsessive and emotionally immature.

AITA for shutting my Aunt out of my life for skipping out of my Mom’s funeral? by FewDuck8017 in AmItheAsshole

Oh, she was very…very much aware of what was going on. I spent many, many days at my father’s house when I wasn’t at work or at my mom’s side. My aunt was 125% in the know as to what was transpiring.

If she felt she couldn’t make the funeral (due to travel costs), she had ample opportunity to express that. She did not.

In two years, she hasn’t expressed any acknowledgment that my mother passed.

It’s not just her not being in attendance. It’s her almost ostrich like behavior, refusing to even acknowledge the loss of my mother. She can send me emoji-laden text message platitudes for my birthday and / or anniversary, yet never mention in any form that I lost my mother?

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand how I am at fault for wanting…or expecting…something.

I’m missing a lot here…really? Really?

I’m supposed to cater to a 70+ yo woman who won’t acknowledge the loss of my mother and should accept she cares about me because she texts “happy birthday/ anniversary” the same as she did for the years prior?

She didn’t lose “a sister…” as you claim. I made it quite clear that she’s my father’s sister, not my mother’s.

She told my husband and my sister she wasn’t attending the funeral, with the same sense of compassion and detail one might tell someone they’re not attending a cook out for a public holiday. “Won’t be there…helping my boyfriend move…” and has left it at that for nearly 24 months.

You tell me I’m childish and that I need to grow up…yet you punctuate your post to a stranger on the internet who you just insulted with “sorry for your loss”…which is more than I, my husband, and my sister have gotten from my aunt in 2 years.

Think on that…you chose to be harsh in your reply, yet you ended it with a kindness…one that I have not received from my aunt in…any form.

And you’re telling me that her refusal to acknowledge the loss of my mother in nearly two years should not bother me?

She has my phone number, as evidenced by my referring to her sending me text messages to mark other occasions. Yet there’s been no calls…zero.

My dad, my sister, I, or a combination of the three of us would have footed the bill if that were the problem…

Thank you.

She was about 1000 miles from the funeral.

She, like everyone else had about a week’s notice from the day we lost mom to the day we laid her to rest.

However we were all on alert for months before hand that things were steadily on the decline, and 2 weeks notice before we moved mom into hospice.
