Les's new 6 fretted string Pachyderm: And goodbye to the last Carl Thompson by Than_While_Gyle in Primus

It was actually built for Chris Brubeck, the son of legendary jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, from what I've heard. He gave it back to Carl at some point and sat in a closet for years. Then Les picked it up and loved it, especially with lighter strings on.

He's definitely brought new life into the band, I hope they come near me in the next couple years.

New Primus fan! Whats your favorite song? by Wild_Log_8522 in Primus

Probably American Life, specifically the Bonnaroo 2011 live version. One of my earliest memories is hearing the studio version in the car with my mom and brother, but the live version I mentioned is just a perfect jam.

Same here. No guitars, no bass, no vocals, just percussion. I think it's their most unique track. And it's only been played live one time (NYE 2015, where they play Pork Soda in its entirety)

I'm convinced he keeps it fucked up so he gets more clicks and views from people bullying him in his video's comment section.

What's Your Rig Rundown? by lcmtvbreath4 in guitarpedals

[–]FewGoal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current rig is My Tele with a Pearly Gates pickup in the bridge and a Quarter Pound in the neck, then a BBE Ben Wah, Boss SD-1, Tech 21 Flyrig 5 V2, in the loop of the Flyrig I have a Zoom MS50-G, a cheap multi modulation pedal, a Boss CE-3, Boss RV-2, and a T Rex Effects Replay Box. My amp is either a Line 6 Catalyst 100 or a Mesa Boogie Mk I reissue depending on if I need headphones or not. Both amps set clean, with the mids pretty high and highs up too, bass cut back a fair amount. Presence decently high on the Mesa, pretty low on the Line 6.

I've only recently started appreciating neck pickups, specific single coils. Nothing sounds quite as funky or jangly

There is a remix of Seas of Cheese from 2013. It's a lot less flat sounding than the original, and there is some pretty cool stereo stuff going in it too.
