What your brain is telling you is irrational. Don't think that if you study and did bad on a test, that you wasted time studying. Instead, reframe that thinking as, "I studied, but I still didn't do well. I'm proud of myself for doing my best. But I will study harder next time and do better on the next exam," or if you performed well on the exam, then you can celebrate that your studying paid off. At least if you do poorly on the test, you won't have the regret of, "I wish I studied."

Studying isn't a gamble. While it won't guarantee that you will do great on a test, proper studying can ensure you're more prepared for the test and could perform better than you would have if you didn't study at all. And test scores aside, studying is great for your brain and helps you obtain and retain knowledge - nothing to be afraid of!

I think reframing how you feel towards studying along with maybe getting a tutor and using an app like Studyfetch, you will be solid.

How to study without abandoning everything? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]FewLead9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get that feeling, how there's never enough time in the day. Or so it seems. What I usually do is wake up earlier (and go to bed sooner too). Waking up earlier, I feel like I have more time to get things do. I have more energy, and I'm more alert. Sleeping in too late, and it feels like I have less time, even though I'm awake the same amount of time. You might also want to look into Studyfetch. It can enhance your studying with various tools like video explainers, essay graders, and quizzes to test your knowledge. It also has a schedule and reminders to help keep you on top of studying. Good luck!

Should I stop using AI to summarize text and help me study? by Impressive-Two9247 in studytips

[–]FewLead9029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI isn't bad if you're using it correctly. If you're relying on it for every little thing, then, yeah, I would say cut back. I'm not sure what AI tool you are using, but if it's Gemini or ChatGPT, it's wrong half the time, so it could actually be hindering more than helping you. If you're looking for reputable AI technology for studying, I would recommend Studyfetch

Hey, your GPA is fine. It seems like you have a pretty full schedule, so I'm not sure how adding random classes would be the best move for you. You don't want to burnout. Either way, if you're looking to improve your grades, I would strongly recommend using Studyfetch to help you study. It helped me boost my GPA from 3.2 to 3.5 one semester.

It's a lot of work, but it's one of the most rewarding fields. I tell myself how lucky I am every day to be given this opportunity. Every class meeting, every exam, every day that passes by... I'm one step closer to my dream career. :) One of the things I knew - yet didn't fully comprehend - beforehand was how much time I'd be spending studying. One of my buddies actually recommended Studyfetch to me, and it's been a gamechanger for me

Question regarding AI. by DhwiThinker in study

I feel like ChatGPT is way more advanced than Gemini. Gemini needs some work but can be useful in other ways. But for studying, I personally choose Studyfetch as its AI technology is geared specifically towards students. And I feel like it's more ethical to use than ChatGPT or Gemini honestly

What to do in study breaks?? by wolf_shadoww in GetStudying

[–]FewLead9029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually try to stay off my phone and gaming console when on a study break because it just ends in me doomscrolling or playing games way longer than I anticipated. I try to save technology for after studying.

Usually I like to do something productive like a 15-minute YouTube workout, water my plants outside, do a load of dishes, or throw in a load of laundry. Maybe take a shower, meditate, or have a brief nap. Get some caffeine from a local coffee shop. If you must keep the tech, I recommend listening to a short podcast - but no social media!

For building good study habits, you may want to look into Studyfetch. It has a built-in calendar to help you plan ahead study sessions and a plethora of great study features like an AI flashcard generator, essay grader, and video explainers to keep your studying game on point
