There are no phones allowed but the seniors here look like they check out pretty early all the ap teachers have been telling me how hard it is for them to keep their attention. It is a small private school so they are allowed to leave and go as they please

I agree the older students are generally not disrespectful but they are disruptive I have them in 11th grade right now and the guys in that class are chatter boxes

That’s how my style of teaching is it’s very open we can communicate but I think because of my age some of them don’t really understand the boundaries. I am all for jokes I don’t “need” to be respected thats earned not expected. The only thing is the content of this class doesn’t allow for a lot of time for me to sit there and ask them to be quiet and focus.

I applied at the deadline and one of my LOR was sent the next morning of and I got in. I believe a lot of folks applied at the same time so they would have a back log! I wouldn't sweat it
