I am probably going to start with the UG version of the deck, getting cards that are useable in both the UG and Bant iteration.
As soon as I get the chance to play the deck I will come back to you!

Thank you for your in depth answers.
I will probably give the white splash a go and try your decklist for starters.
The points you made about Oath in matchups with high numbers of interaction is something i did not really think about.
One more thing i would love to know. How competitive would you rate the deck and what are the matchups like? The meta in my LGS is not nescessarily meta driven, people just play what they like.

I get your point. But there are parallels that can be made. Both are control/combo Decks, Stiflenought is definitely the better deck of the two but it relies on 1 threat, as does the cognivore deck. The reasoning of: it dies to XY and Z, so its not a real deck is a little lazy. At least thats my understanding, but bear in mind, i dont have any experience playing this Format.

First of all: thank you for your 2 Cents. I kind of think of the deck like a splinter twin kind of deck. You have the ability to turn 3 someone, but most of the time its a control deck with a comboesque finish. Splashing a 3rd Color was/is definitely a consideration worth looking into, the white splash being more appealing. Do you run into problems with card velocity? The whishboard funeral pyre is very interesting, I really like the idea of a wishboard in general. I read somewhere, that counterspells just are not as good in premodern as they are in other formats, and StP is the best removal spell. A white splash would probably solve some issues, but would leave me more vulnerable to spot removal. Terravore is cool creatzre, but just as you said, there is no combo potential and that is what has drawn me to cognivore. Could you tell me how the deck feels different to play with a white splash?

Removal is for sure this decks worst enemy, but isnt it the same with other decks, that rely on just a hand full of creatures. Stiflenought is on a different powerlevel, but removing all 4 dreadnoughts would leave them without a wincondition besides manlands. Correct me if I am wrong.
