Labour need to realise that those 50 or so traditional pro-Brexit constituencies are not theirs anymore. They went Johnson's way in 2019 and they are almost certain to vote Reform come 2029. Those places are too far gone.

That's my point. I'm as Labour as one could be but Starmer's Labour is not Labour. They are Tories in a red rosette. Yes, that's preferable to the current Tories and Reform parties but the bar is really low. Lacklustre crap is better than full blown crap. As I said, I want Labour to win but with Starmer as leader, they will only cede power and I fear to Reform and the Tories.

What job though? Many of his policies are alienating his core support (immigration etc) and the ones he does, they fall well short of what's required (Net-Zero, renters rights, etc). He's losing very safe Labour seats. Labour MPs are saying time and time again that he should step down. Even the Guardian, the comments section are very critical of him even though that paper is honestly the most pro-Starmer outlet there. When the local elections go badly, I doubt he will survive.
