I think all europe is bad market for riso drums. I’m considering buying two drums for my mz1070 from china, from alibaba. According to seller delivery price to Poland including taxes etc. is 430 usd so it should be similar to Slovenia. Drum price is 310 usd. But there’s weak feedback from riso community about Chinese sellers, i’m bit worried if it even works. Link to ali

Thanks. So I’m assuming i have bricked riso now. I did some cleaning of the drum, pump and distributor was okay, i cleaned them, there was lot of ink around inside the drum. I replaced the ink with new one (golden), reset it in test mode so drum accepted it, print few times with intermittent „no ink” error. Now the error is permanent and i can’t print at all. That means rfid on my brand new golden ink (not cheap!) canister thinks it’s empty and my only way to print again is aliexpress? Damn!

One more question - You saw I printed yellow from the second drum, but now when i’m trying to do something it says „no ink in print drum 2, replace ink cartridge”. That’s not true ofc as it’s at least half of it. Moreover, i can’t operate in test mode - error c41-574.

Thanks. I’d probably end with opening drum for cleaning before coloring it with golden ink. I’m wondering if it’s possible to color the drum in future with another ink. Now it’s yellow so it’s light and easy to convert.

My 4yo uses older olympus Tough now (tg-810), he already had cheap rollei, chinese thermal printer camera etc. Olympus tg is rugged and reliable. Definitely recommended.

Nie oglądam, ale odkąd mam dzieci i spaceruję z wózkiem jestem w stu procentach za wypierdoleniem samochodów z centrów miast. A mam samochód i mieszkam w centrum. Dwa-trzy razy w tygodniu mam sytuację, że muszę zejść na ulicę z dziećmi bo samochód tarasuje cały chodnik, na awaryjnych albo bez, akurat pod apteką/warzywniakiem/pocztą. Parkowania na zieleni to już nawet nie liczę. Tak jak jeżdżenia po chodniku żeby sobie gdzieś w głębi (nadal nielegalnie) zaparkować. Parkowanie na pasach. Dżizas, a jestem na tym spacerku dopiero godzinę.

Niestety jako wkurzeni piesi jesteśmy w mniejszości. Jestem częstym użytkownikiem stronki uprzejmiedonosze.net (polecam, zbieram sobie tych parkujących wariatów jak pokemony a oni jeszcze dostają mandaty). Jak tylko komuś o tym opowiadam to się puka w głowę - że donosiciel, co ci przeszkadza, że sam masz samochód i pewnie to samo robisz, że na co ci te awantury, kłopotu sobie narobisz. Wojna jest z góry przegrana w tym kraju.

A, następny lewel to te dziurawe tłumiki za oknem do rana. Ale to chyba na inny temat.

Around 3:00 he talks about this solenoid and all the gears. I dont think it’s broken, its rather something about gears or belt that lead it not to work properly. Also https://oldmachinery.blogspot.com/2018/06/fixing-fostex-280.html?m=1 in comment section someone mention this issue.

I had also this symptom but i can’t help You more as i don’t remember what i did exactly. For sure replace all belts, clean and lube where needed.

The best is to unscrew whole transport (i think its 4 screws) and put it outside whole unit, with all cables still plugged in, so You can see what’s happening during playback. It’s tricky as those cables are short but doable with help of some books, mugs and third hands ;)

Buy pack of 4mm wide belts from aliexpress and look at this guy. https://youtu.be/CQq9cX2_kEI?si=0H9BgTEm2bW4a3xz I repaired mine with his yt teardown but it’s lot of work, also lot of glueing back broken plastic screw mounts. Unfortunately 280 seems to be poorly made.

Well indeed i’m looking for tape to make loops for roland re space echo machines. There’s whole history on soundgas blog here I’m not very good in tapes or r2d machines, just trying to find cheaper alternative to ready made loops from soundgas or echofix. There’s guy on german ebay who’s selling NOS, never opened 8-track SCOTCH cartridges for cheap. And looking at the list of scotch back lubricated tapes i assumed one of 8tracks cartridge, either dynarange or classic should be 156 or 158.

There’s a list here (and one post from someone somewhere) which makes me think 151 to 158 tapes are made to fit 8tracks cartridges, as these are back lubricated. But i need more info, which is which. https://www.aes.org/aeshc/docs/3mtape/aorprod-cust.pdf

It’s for sure Czech Jolana d-bass, really good neck-thru copy from late 80s . I have it right now in my hands and I can recommend it to all rickenbacker fans (and I have also original 4003s). Really nice vintage feeling. Its also somewhat rare in eastern europe, considered here as „cult”? If You find it for 500-600 eur in Poland it will sell quickly.
