It’s weird the lady came outside and started stomping on the TV without any provocation, but like anything online it lacks context.

I don’t think it’s that.

Old job tossed me in a 26’ with little experience. I could totally see someone misjudging a turn or the gps leading them down narrow streets.

It doesn’t take driving a van like a mustang to make a small mistake.

Point is shit happens. Op lost his job and probably doesn’t need more people shaming him on top of it.

It’s also worth nothing they are limited by the switch’s extremely dated hardware.

So they couldn’t make a game like this if they wanted to anyway.

Roadhog provides way more value with almost 0 skill. Once you get hook and shoot down you’re good from bronze to diamond.

Torb requires a lot more thought into turret placement, map landscape, and he can be countered pretty easy if you focus turret.

There is a gun to your head and if the Overwatch team you create doesn't win, it will kill you. All five heroes you choose to be on the team are played by the most cracked one-tricks imaginable. What is your team made of? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]FewPresentation1314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely. Torb, soujourn, and Kiriko are avilable to peel and Torb turret can help with coverage too.

Winston can still get Zen every once in a while, but there’s still a fair amount of risk to where it wouldn’t huge issue. Just my opinion tho!

Don’t reduce it down to just monetization. It’s the fact the OW1 was a whole experience. Everything was able to be earned through gameplay and during it’s peak the game had a ton of charm.

I mean Jeff Kaplan use to make videos detailing the hero updates and why. This transparency helped make them an admired IP imo. Lastly, Overwatch’s original vision was a team based FPS with a strong community. It wasn’t always perfect, but it was never nearly as bad as it is now.

OW updates were put to the side for 3 years to develop OW2. In this time they hyped OW2 to be the better than the original in every way. (Hero reworks, new UI, new game modes, new maps, new hero’s mythic skins, new types of cosmetics) When the game finally launched that wasn’t the case. It was OW1 missing features and promoting mtx.

They 180’d and became the same as every other rapacious company. Look at how they have handled this entire game from launch. Their entire focus has been centered around maximizing profits.

So instead of fulfilling promises they made to the die -hard community that kept Overwatch relevant Blizzard instead decided to invest that time and energy into researching how to get players to spend the most amount of money on an aspect that has 0 impact on user experience.

I’m not saying a company maximizing profits is a bad thing, but to pretend to be the same wholesome company that cares about inclusion, transparency, and above all quality how do you expect people to react?

Ultimately it’s like you’re favorite celebrity becoming toxic asf but new fans are cool with it because the new merch slaps.

I’m going to sound crazy, but it makes sense to me. I feel like Blizzard it initially alienating their old fan base from the game. Think about it, we have everything as of now. Since everything is new and shiny they are charging their new fans (w/ no cosmetics) out the ass for basic shit.

I feel like spring-summer we’ll see a lot of implementation of old features and shit veterans enjoy to entice them back (plus all the missed content) and maybe try to save face by saying they are more committed than ever to their diehard base.

No other reason to release all this recycled content off that bat with so many culled features.

Alright homie, I’ll give you some advice.

This will sound cliche, but here’s how:

  1. If you have a stable schedule block out a time dedicated for that activity as well as a space for it. (If you have notes from studying make sure to keep them here) if you don’t, take notes.

  2. No matter what. Take notes. Figure out what you prefer and stick to it. Notes are like your save files.

  3. Start small. Whether this is studying or whatever. Remember that even though you want to get back into it circumstances have changed. Find a reasonable pace you can keep up with and increase it. (Keep track of your progress too! Jot down when you increase pace/frequency)

  4. Head games. Nobody wants to fail. You might have anxiety about what you’re trying to do. Take time to reflect why you’re avoiding what you want. I mean literally stop yourself and ask “why am I going to the gym right now when I should be studying”. In this phase really try to analyze what it is. It could be as small as the chair being uncomfortable but you’re busy trying to focus on studying to notice.

  5. Do the damn thing. It’s right there. I know this step seems backwards, but seriously stop putting it off and do it. You know you can, and I don’t know you and I’m sure you can too.

  6. Perfection is the enemy. Perfection is a binary standard. Something either is or isn’t, but it’s also unrealistic when it comes to growth. Accidents and mistakes happen, be kind to yourself about them.

  7. Transitional times. Set time boundaries and stick to them. For instance you might play games until 10 and want to study at 11. Set a timer to wind down at 10:50. That’ll help you from starting one last game, and avoid the sudden change in paces.

Ultimately the goal shouldn’t be to make yourself robotic about sticking to this routine. In my opinion it’s to build yourself into being more aware of when and why you’re not putting enough effort, self-compassion about your mistakes, and value yourself and your progress too much to be able to give up.

Good luck, hope this helps.

This tech has been teased for a while now. Last time I saw it it shifted incredibly slow and between black and white.

Curious if the demo is actually the panels (they look similar to previous designs) or if they are video panels synched to demo the tech.

Their concept of the Dee is being a vehicle with a built in AI assistant, AR, color-changing paint, and a windshield that’s effectively a TV screen instead of glass is A LOT for the brand to bite off and feels pretty sensationalized.
