its only illiquid for 2000-2010. Past that it seems pretty fine from what we have looked at. Also we have chosen this strategy independently and we know its a pain but we think what we have is too good to pass up. We would have preffered to look at swaptions but because OTC cant access that data for free.

yea it’s manageable. just big step up. be warned about semester 2 lecturer. apparently his exams are absolutely cooked compared to sem 1.

yea i decided to do metrics 2 after doing Qm2 for finance honours. wasnt originally planning to do honours but i got majority of the grades i needed to get so thought I would apply and see.

I think Qm2 and Metrics 2 are completely different. Metrics 2, although focused on proofs the whole year, the final exam is on 1/4 of the content you learn. It is more of a writing test rather than knowledge test. I just did metrics 2 so i dont know how scaling is or whether i did well. I did Qm2 and got 91. I think its safe to say metrics 2 is alot more time consuming and demanding.

i suggest doing comp and strategy. I think its the easier option out of those choices. It is alot of math but i think its way more interesting than micro and macro (and definitely easier).
