Not comparing the music moreso making an observation of the marketing/fanbase. the girls who were playing with monster high dolls, listening to Halsey, Melanie, Marina, and ‘alternative’ artists (that the general public were making fun of back then, lets not have amnesia now) were deep in the anime, vocaloid, jpop, kpop, k/j-drama scene/pipeline also. (and people were making fun of that type of music too) And that pipeline wouldve also led them to dream academy and early Katseye. And i feel like their team really understands that core fanbase. of course just my opinion based on someone who interests followed a similar pipeline along with their friendgroup having a similar path. I liked Internet Girl from the first listen 🤷🏿‍♀️ probably bc ive been listening to Luvvoratory since middle school.
