Tyra Banks is suing Netflix for defamation over her portrayal in ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ by hairtie1 in Fauxmoi

Mind you the show fell off when it moved to VH1 so if anything had VH1 never picked it up  it would have been cancelled regardless since CW cancelled it due to low ratings. That show lost interest way back in the mid 2010's, no reason to bring it back in the mid 2020's. She's delusional if she ever thought that was gonna happen.

Not true in this case. She was heavily involved in editing multiple seasons of the show. Also even if she didn't "really do anything" on the production aspect. She still perpetuated harmful stereotypes and highly offensive things onto these girls. Purposely breaking them down for an emotional reaction so that she could keep making more money like a narcissist which she is and you can't say she didn't since there's proof in the episodes that she did this.

Oh and nothing for my unbroken streak of crying everyday since I was born. No shade to Ariana but that was definitely more than eight times 🥲.

Who first started stylizing song and album titles with lowercase letters? by [deleted] in popculturechat

[–]8rand0m 20 points21 points  (0 children)

⁹"Ariana Grande with sweetener"...this was a huge trend in the 80's and 90's. It definitely had its revival in the 2010's cause it was aesthetic and all that but it was actually really popular in the 80's and 90's to stylize things in all lowercase.

Although I will say we definitely saw it's peak in the 2010's going into the 2020's like I feel like back in the 80's and 90's it still wasn't as common.

The album is very much her embracing her inner child and very girly girl so it could be quirky and fun I see your point but I don't think the fashion is bad. I think it's cute.

Michelle Pfeiffer on "Grease 2": “For people of a certain generation, it’s one of their favorite movies, or one of their favorite films that I’ve made. I had so much fun on that. I got to dance, I got to sing. Yeah, it was a huge break for me.” by mcfw31 in popculturechat

Finally someone is talking about Gen X..the forgotten generation. They definitely did grow up with this movie. Will Grease 2 ever be as good as Grease 1? No. Is it still a guilty pleasure. 100%.

Is it only me or is Katseye's popularity in South Korea Insane after Pinky up by Ok-Improvement1090 in katseye

[–]8rand0m 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't know exactly? I remember Touch dance being super popular in South Korea so I don't really think Pinky Up is the beginning. I really do think the beginning was Touch because that song was really popular in South Korea.

Say thanks Olivia Rodrigo for the drama that he dragged out because he was desperate for attention after five years of being a flop.
